FBF to my Savage Land Rogue shoot. I think that, of all my cosplays, this is the one with the most photos. Even more than my Lynda Carter Wonder Woman! SL Rogue has this outdoors shoot, photos from Motor City Comic Con, photos from Cosplay Runway, and a studio shoot. I could probably post a photo a day until Christmas. 😆 Photo by @forestsedge_studios Wig by @thefivewitswigs Makeup by @nyxcosmetics Contacts by @uniqso — use code UNIQSOAMHC for a discount on your own! #savagelandrogue #rogue #xmen #marvel #amhcosplays

*** NOTE: Potentially Disturbing Caption Ahead *** First, let me say that I 100% support the trans community. My own first cousin, J, is trans and I have several good friends who are also trans. I love you all and support you! Second, I believe that JK Rowling must have one or more screws loose in her head for the horrendous statements and hatred she has expressed, targeting the trans community. As the song goes, I don’t understand what makes a man hate another man. People are people. This being said, it has been inner turmoil for me regarding Harry Potter. I have seen people post that they will immediately unfollow anyone posting Potter content. I have seen posts saying that posting Potter content shows support for the oppression of the trans community and that supporting actual humans is more important than being a fan of the “wizard boy.” I’m sorry, but it isn’t as black and white as that. My first marriage was a physically and emotionally abusive marriage. Unfortunately, I was not the only target of my ex’s rages. My son, N, was also physically and emotionally abused by his father. We lived a nightmare for years, watched so we couldn’t leave the house without being questioned, couldn’t communicate with friends. It was hell. But N and I found comfort and an escape in the world of Harry Potter. N even looked like Harry and dressed as him for Halloween several times. Through this Wizarding World, we escaped our nightmare and bonded more closely. We each had our own copies of the books and we loved watching the movies together. It helped us more than I can express. Eventually that waste of human cells was taken away by police for breaking my nose and my escape began; it took years, a multiply fractured sternum for N and a torn rotator cuff for me for the court to allow N to break ties with that monster. Sadly, his 2nd wife ignored my warnings and learned the truth the hard way. No clue about the 3rd wife. Today, Harry Potter represents the inner strength N and I found and the characters we love that helped us through this dark time. And to be told to toss away Harry Potter because of Rowling? I’m sorry, but there is grey between that.
