✨️What’s the point of handmade?✨️
I’ve been thinking lately about why I still make every piece by hand and why I get out of bed at an ungodly hour for these markets and why that choice still matters.
Jewellery-making isn’t just a technique. It’s tradition, passed from one maker to the next, an ancient craft & artistry, refined through time, until it finds a home in your hands. A single ring isn’t just polish and solder it’s a continuation of something much bigger.
Some of what I do I learned through study. The rest came through trial, error, and time at the bench. It’s a process that’s shaped not just my work but my path.
Craft has given me the freedom to create my own art and now to teach others in my very own space: Shropshire’s 1st silversmithing studio where I pass on these very skills to you to enjoy and feel empowered when you leave with your gorgeous creations.

Supporting handmade means supporting that lineage, that learning, that empowerment, and the future of craft itself and the spirit that can't be mass produced.

It’s pretty badass being a jeweller.
And it’s a privilege to keep the craft alive!

Thanks for reading ☺️✨️

Keep supporting your local businesses. We appreciate you x

What a fab afternoon hosting Eleri's pottery painting hen party over @craftyhappeningsuk, such a lovely way to celebrate and such a lovely bunch of ladies. These creations are going to look ace once they've been glazed and fired. 😊👌✨️

To the women who came before us and paved the way, for those who are unapologetic in standing for their beliefs, for those who love regardless of what stands in the way, for those who are passionate for community and those who inspire other women to stand in their power.
We thank you.

We are lucky here at altar to have a beautiful community that is heavily influenced by some incredible goddesses.

Happy international women’s day to all you badass babes. ✨🤟🏻
