October was quite the Star Trek month. I got to meet, speak with, and sit in on an interview with William Shatner. Now I won this autographed pic of Team Trek Against Pancreatic Cancer at the PanCAN PurpleStride. (Juan Carlos Coto, Jonathan Frakes, Kitty Swink, John Billingsley, & Armin Shimerman). The picture and note are sitting in my mom’s favorite armchair which she sat in for the last time on April 1st before she was taken by pancreatic cancer the next day.

As we celebrated America’s birthday, we also celebrated something far more personal — 22 years of friendship, laughter, support, and countless memories with the very best neighbors we could have ever hoped for.
What began as neighbors became family.

Together, we’ve raised 16 kids and had the joy of watching them grow from babies into adults. Through many milestones, celebrations, everyday moments, and life’s ups and downs, you have been such an incredibly special part of our lives.

Saying goodbye is not easy, but our hearts are overflowing with gratitude for the years we shared, and the memories we will create in the future. Thank you for being the neighbors everyone dreams of having, and friends we will cherish forever…
