Coach Savage believes that Cape League baseball changes guys, even the ones who think they’ve got it figured out.

You get moved around.

You slump.

You pitch in a different role.

You hit lower in the lineup.

You learn versatility the hard way.
That’s why the Cape is so valuable.

It’s not just reps, it’s learning how to handle the ups and downs with real people watching every night.
And the atmosphere? Lawn chairs, grass berms, packed communities, summer baseball.

Drop a 🧠 if you believe adversity builds better players.

Most people think baseball is about the game. It’s really about the people in the room.

Drop a ⚾ if you still believe amateur sports should feel grassroots, not over commercialized.

Coach Hale said it perfectly, the Cape is culture, host families, coaches, and the kind of week people never forget.
That’s why it hits different.
It’s one of the last places where the game still feels like the game.
Save this if you love baseball the old-school way.

Brooks Bryan with a hit down the line yesterday. He hesitated there a sec before advancing to 2nd. He can “put a charge into the ball” with HR power to all fields per Baseball America.

I’m excited to announce that I will be joining the Cotuit Kettleers of the Cape Cod Baseball League as a Play-by-Play broadcaster this summer!

As a lifelong baseball fan, I’m honored to have the opportunity to work in such a prestigious league for a team that’s produced so much amazing talent, including Chase Utley, one of the defining players of my childhood in Philadelphia.

Thank you to Leah Ridpath and Scott Hill for this amazing opportunity. I’m looking forward to working with @peterkellypro to provide Kettleers fans with the best broadcast experience on Cape Cod. Can’t wait to get started ⚾️🎙️!!
