There are some famous prime rib rivalries in the world (Lawry’s vs. House of Prime Rib, for example) but I am here to tell you that the best prime rib in all the lands is, in fact, @primeseafoodpalace by the great @coulsoncooks and @mattymatheson

Finally got to stop by while I was in Toronto for 11 hours (7 of which were spent sleeping before my next flight) and I am very happy it was the one and only thing I did with in the city. The aging process and the treatment of being wrapped a special paste of delicious secret things afterwards leave a flavor that elevates this cut in a way I just haven’t seen anyone do before. Other standouts include a very fun and equally good scallop Rockefeller which has just the right acid running through it like a ribbon. The lobster noodles with lobster bisque sauce and the “bacon” which is treated like a thick slab of char siu. Get the palace potatoes and a side of horseradish alongside your prime rib and you’ve got the order.

If you’re a steakhouse nut/ prime rib head. Get thee to Toronto.

Oh, also, the staff are incredibly warm and knowledgeable and know how to make you have a phenomenal time even if you’ve been flying all day and come in like a goblin in your sweatsuit with your suitcase. Thank you Coulson, @kweegersomm & team 🙏

What better way to explain how amazing @sagra_di_toronto is than to show you last year through the lens?

Chefs, cooks, producers, volunteers, friends and families coming together to cook, eat, drink and do something good. This is truly hospitality at its best.

Everyone together brings the spirit of Italy’s village harvest festivals to Toronto. Incredible food, local ingredients and a whole community gathering around the table.

The entire event is volunteer-run, with all proceeds supporting @bgcalbion and @villa_charities. Proceeds contribute towards the support of safe spaces, after-school programs, and healthy meals for children and youth, alongside programs celebrating Italian culture and community.

Shout out to the main sponsors @bondiproduce, @thebutchershoppe_to, @auroraimporting, @edgefoodequipment, @stellaartoisca and @sanpellegrinoca.

I’ll be back shooting, and @tsigzz and I will be volunteering and representing @laspadamtl. It means a lot to be part of this truly magical event.
