In 2018 they toured the US, selling second, scrappy long EP ‘America’ (bootleg). In 2020 the band signed with EMI in conjunction with York record label Young Thugs. Two days to go till the ten year anniversary weekender 💥

Performing on the Sat evening (17th) at @leithdepot138 (in reverse running order) we have

@riarkihersel: Bass/guitar duo (maybe w new banging electro sounds) drenched in all of the reverb complete with beautiful harmonies taking you on a journey through space. There’s so much reverb, that if it was water, you’d drown. Feat 2/3rds of @paledinburgh

@count.florida: Indie pop group from Glasgow. Catchy ear wormy hooks and dreamy melodies w lyrics which are both humorous and from the heart.
“painfully catchy, razor-sharp indie-pop morsels that demand your attention”

@seasstarry: Instrumental alternative rock/post rock (peppered with hints of shoegaze, drone and ambient sounds) trio fae Aberdeen
“Their work explores genre hybridity and the fluid boundaries of contemporary rock music. “

@elephant_ballroom: Glitchy and playful electro sounds and pretty ambient guitar smushed together and layered with an icing of bouncy grooves.
“working between Hip Hop, idm, Glitch, Broken Beat and everything inbetween”

Full lineup for next month's ten year anniversary weekender 🦇

The mystery guest mentioned in the last post for this is Puppet Midnight (my solo music alter ego).

I'd held off announcing me performing to not get in the way of promo/turnout for the @goodgriefedinburgh show on the 10th w @nopeeling_band + @normalservice which I was to open. That gig is sadly cancelled (will be rearranged. Keep an eye out for the new date). Anyways means, there is no need to keep this a secret anymore 🤫

So yeah do come along to the weekender with a lineup that I'm super chuffed with at St Vincent's Chapel, @home_edinburgh + @leithdepot138 on 16th + 17th October ⛪️ 🏡 🚌

Fri eve features performances from @bell.lungs, @atomic_deathry, @sophiadjebelrose, @aurora_engine and @puppet_midnight 🎵

While Sat features performances from @the_chunks_band, @fistymuffs and @haystack_monolith in the afternoon and from @seasstarry, @count.florida, @riarkihersel and @elephant_ballroom in the evening 🎶

Tickets available via the link in bio for the whole weekend or specific sections or on the door. Low income options available if needed 🎟

Super excited for this. As always forever grateful for the wonderful Edinburgh diy community 💚

❤️ LOVE WITHOUT ALARM 🚨

The new album from freewheeling Glasgow DIY indie-pop trio @count.florida, comprising the myriad talents of Mel Whittle (The Hermit Crabs), Scott Argo (Cheetaras, Owls of Now) and Andrew Milk (Shopping).

The long awaited follow up to 2024's Choose Your Own…, which The Skinny descirbed as “painfully catchy, razor-sharp indie-pop morsels that demand your attention… we genuinely can’t stop listening”.

A witty, warm and proudly queer record about persevering, getting through life with its ups and downs, and recognising we don’t always get things right, and that’s okay.

Out 22nd January 2027, and available to pre-order now on super limited edition vinyl, housed in a gorgeous unique hand-printed sleeve.

CD, digital and bundles also available.
