It’s exactly a week since we got our hearing and sanity challenged by @anginedepoitrine and their “invigorating geometric rock” (Uncut), in the first of two sets they played for us. Our photographers @_burakcingi_ @countessian @gemharrisphoto @chrisofarc and @earth.boyy, alongside videographers @hugohealy (drone) and @tomroods captured both their shows (on Woods and a secret late night Folly set) and immortalised us collectively losing our minds to the band’s inter-galactic math rock.

“A thousand things begged to be admired – paintings, books, a cat slinking around – and it was so warm and cosy that I was almost glad to have been caught in the rain first. The friendly pair checking me in gushed about how lovely my suite was with genuine glee, and 30 seconds later I was bounding up the stairs to the Rook’s Nest, my two-storey home for the night.” @countessian #rookeryhotel #therookery #therooksnest #clerkenwell #secretlondon #wheretostayinlondon

10 years of Girl Ray!!! 🥹❤️ 🎂 Emosh to say that today marks a decade since the first girl ray show at Cavendish Arms in Stockwell. The nerves were high, the harms were harsh (see last slide), but bless all of our friends and family for coming out and whooping - then AND now! Love to all who have made girl ray what it is - we couldn’t do it without all of you 🫶 THANK YOU FOR LISTENING!! RAYS FOREVER!! We’re deep in the writing hole scheming up a new album for y’all, but we’ll be back soon enough we promise!! 🫶🫶
