Fourth year at Pause Live… and honestly, it’s starting to feel like walking into a familiar club full of brilliant women. 🩷

The squeals of laughter, the hugs in the green room, the “OMG, it’s been ages!” moments… and the feeling that you’re surrounded by women who just GET IT.

Pause Live has such a wonderful atmosphere. Yes, there are incredible conversations, inspiring speakers and so much to learn, but for me, it’s also about the connections. The new faces you meet, the women you instantly click with, and the friendships that deepen year after year. I’ve found some true ride-or-die friends through this community, and that’s something really special.

I was on stage interviewing this year, so I didn’t take nearly enough photos (although I’ve LOVED seeing everyone else’s posts and reliving it all through your eyes).

And if you didn’t make it into my photos, PLEASE know it absolutely doesn’t mean you’re not hugely valued by me. I just don’t think anyone is going to sit through a three-hour reel of my favourite women 🤣🤣

Already feeling grateful for this wonderful community of women. Here’s to the conversations, the connections, the belly laughs and the friendships that make Pause Live so much more than just an event. 🩷

The Dietrich Dazzle — worn by Susie at the Christening in The Gentlemen, Series 2. 🖤
This is a sharp, low-crowned black boater with diamanté-studded veiling, inspired by the extraordinary Marlene Dietrich.
I love the contrast between the very clean, structured shape of the hat and the sparkle and softness of the veil. Susie wore the veiling tucked up, rather than over her face, which gave the hat an even stronger graphic quality. With her black-and-white polka-dot dress, the whole look was wonderfully bold and glamorous.
I think it worked particularly well for Susie because the hat has that same slightly contradictory quality as her character — elegant and feminine, but sharp, powerful and with plenty of attitude.

The red hat worn by Susie in The Gentlemen, Series 2. ❤️
The hat has an elongated side-to-side brim, deliberately narrow from front to back, creating that dramatic, almost blade-like silhouette.
The decoration combines two very different types of feathers: the softness and delicacy of goose nagoires juxtaposed with the harder, more graphic burnt peacock skeleton feathers, which give the hat height and drama.
I like to think the two work together as a reflection of Susie herself — a combination of feminine and masculine energies, softness and strength.

BTS of Helen and Lucy Wedding morning the biggest wedding of the year🤍✨

Saturday’s wedding was one of the biggest bridal parties I’ve ever had the pleasure of organising a full team…

Two beautiful brides, two gorgeous mums and nine lovely members of the bridal party! 🤩

I brought together a team of six—three makeup artists, including me, and three hairstylists with lead hairstylist @linziweddinghair—to help get everyone ready for this incredible wedding day.

We took over the beautiful Garden House, creating hair and makeup stations throughout the property.
I brought half of my studio with me—including my masterclass tables, mirrors, lighting and full professional kit—so each artist had a dedicated space to work from.

Behind the scenes, there was so much planning involved—from building the team and preparing the equipment to creating a detailed timetable for 13 people. With a bridal party this size, teamwork and the ability to adapt throughout the morning are absolutely essential!

Lucy and Helen looked extraordinary they are so so beautiful. We created gorgeous Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk looks using the Pillow Talk eyeshadow palette and lipstick, keeping everything light, natural, fresh and completely flawless. 🤍

It was certainly a very warm and busy morning, but I’m incredibly proud of myself and my amazing team for working together to get everyone ready and looking beautiful.

To our wonderful brides, thank you for choosing me and trusting us with such a special morning. It was an absolute privilege to be part of your wedding day. 🥰
