We pulled it off tonight! I’m proud of the response and incredibly grateful to everyone who showed up, listened, asked questions, and participated in the process. Tonight was a great moment, but I know I still have a long way to go. I’m going to keep working, keep listening, and keep showing up for Carson. Thank you to everyone who made tonight’s forum possible. The work continues!

🚀 CARSON IS INVESTING IN THE NEXT GENERATION! 🌎 The LA Carson Youth Olympics Committee is bringing a bold vision for Carson’s young people—connecting youth, education, innovation, athletics, and opportunity. As highlighted in this announcement, the committee has partnered with NASA and the Hidden Figures Foundation to help educate and empower young people through S-T-R-E-A-M: Science, Technology, Research, Engineering, Arts, and Math. 🚀 What Derek Haskell is working to do for Carson: • Put Carson youth at the center of opportunity • Connect young people to STEM, education, sports, and career pathways • Build partnerships that bring new resources and experiences to Carson • Use the 2028 Olympic moment to create lasting opportunities for local youth • Encourage our children to DREAM, LEARN, DISCOVER, RESEARCH, INNOVATE & ACHIEVE • Create a stronger connection between Carson’s youth and the opportunities of tomorrow This is about more than the Olympics. It’s about what we leave behind for the next generation. Our youth deserve to see themselves as scientists, engineers, athletes, entrepreneurs, artists, leaders—and whatever else they dream of becoming. Young minds can change the world. And Carson should help give them the opportunity to do it. 🇺🇸 OUR YOUTH | OUR COMMUNITY | A BRIGHTER TOMORROW Derek Haskell Candidate for Carson City Council — District 2 #DerekHaskell #CarsonCalifornia #CarsonYouth #LA28 #YouthOlympics #NASA #HiddenFigures #STEAM #STEM #YouthDevelopment #Education #Innovation #CarsonCA #OurYouth #ABrighterTomorrow
