Just about a year ago, I thought the things I had to say about the albums I listen to on repeat mattered enough to start Crashed Out Magazine.

What began as a casual space for opinionated reviews and half-organized playlists has become a way for me to connect to artists both within my immediate community and far beyond over what inspires them to write, produce, and perform music. I've had the opportunity to sit down and chat with some of my biggest inspirations and some of my best friends (who are also my biggest inspirations). And that is everything I could ever have wanted from this endeavor.

In the coming year, I'd love to keep the momentum going. I don't yet know what the next evolution of this blog-magazine looks like. But I do know Crashed Out started as, and remains, an outlet that keeps me emotionally and mentally grounded. If that's what Crashed Out continues being in 2026 and 2027, then I'll fucking take it.

Want to sit down for an interview? Interested in writing a guest review? Sitting on a playlist you want to share with people who might appreciate it? Reach out! Crashed Out is a community-oriented space for community-oriented creatives.

Love y'all. Thanks for being here. xx

ARE YOU READY TO GO TONIGHT?

@barstowdrive “One thing I believe about New York City: there’s no better place to learn how to survive as an artist.

I think I played my first gig here back in 2014 at Rockwood Music Hall. (RIP.) Barstow Drive, Nor’easter, and the stuff that’s coming down the pike, (including Quantum Physics, which drops in ONE WEEK) would not exist without this place.

It makes every gig we play here special, not just because it’s home, but because you want to be as excellent as the city itself. Otherwise, you’re just wasting people’s time.

We’re gonna make it worth your while. That I can promise you.

Come out tonight.
We’ll be there with…
@couvomusic
Veebus Trio
and
@rorydlasnow

This is the crowd from our gig last month at Pearl Street Warehouse in DC.

The energy of that show was everything we could have hoped for, and a validation my belief that live rock ‘n’ roll is a tool of radical joy.

At Berlin Under A, this Monday 8/31, the journey continues. Come be a part of it.

We’ll be there with Couvo, Veebus Trio, and Rory D’Lasnow.

If you’re coming out to the gig on 8/31: BRING A FRIEND.

Or two. Maybe you have a book club you’re a part of. A gym buddy. A pen pal who happens to be in town. BRING EVERYBODY. They’re all welcome, and the more people that show up, the better the show will be for everyone. I promise you that.
