We knew September would be a very busy and trying month for our team. We talked a few weeks ago about how we had a lot of hard fights coming up and we would learn a lot. That proved to be very true as we had some extremely close contests over the course of 11 fights and two events. We learned a great deal from these fights and I’m grateful for these lessons. I’m so proud of each and every one of these athletes and of our team as a whole, from how far we have come to seeing how far we still have to go, knowing that we will get there with discipline, consistency, pressure, and time. @mmainstitute.rva is just getting warmed up

Last week we got to celebrate Mother’s Day by getting some over due family pictures done. I was raised by the most selfless and loving mother any child could ever hope to have. And the Lord gave me a wife who is equally just as selfless and loving to our children. I give thanks to God for giving me this woman and for the children we have. Motherhood is Kingdom work.

Another incredible Friday of Muay Thai in the park! While we all love the grind, today was a reminder that joy is just as important as technique. It was amazing to see students from four different gyms set aside their logos to just train and connect. This is what the community is all about! 😎
