"Imagine sweeping political intrigue, morally grey characters, ancient mythology and a Brothers Grimm fairytale that took a very dark turn. It's atmospheric, ambitious and wonderfully immersive."

—Mathie

I certainly grew up with too much Brothers Grimm and so, it might not come with surprise that the inheritly German way of telling fairytales did brush my writing here and there. Absolutely happy about the fact that @causemathiereads noticed! 🤍🦉

Seven days left until Legend of Gardyan Book II: Sign of the Owl releases!

The launch and PR box madness are in full swing! On the latter, a quick question:

Some have uttered interest in buying small PR boxes. Would you like to see those on the shop for both SotR and SotO?

I've teamed up with @celestialpixels_ and her @celestialpixels_shop to deliver a few PR boxes world wide. Preparing those currently proves to be a quest on its own but I am happy to announce that the boxes will be ready for shipping soon. As a thank you for 10k followers, I'd also like to give one additional person the opportunity to win one of those PR boxes.

The Shivering Moors tell the tale of a tragic couple violently separated by a cruel dark force. But the echoes of the veil are not yet done writing their story... 🌫

Whenever an activity requires zero cat...

After over ten years, I decided to become a black cat mom again this October. The struggle of being black is real, not only for POC. Black cats are the least adopted among all cats. Very often, they get killed if owners can't get rid of them shortly after they were born. May it be superstition or a general antipathy towards the colour black, those little creatures still have a hard time finding a safe home.

Luckily, I shall wear midnight until the end of my mortal existence, so here's six month old Abretin having very philosophical thoughts about the season of the witch whilst sitting on my name plates for the Legend of Gardyan PR boxes. 🖤🧙🏽‍♀️ 🐈‍⬛

I got him and his brother Azebo from a real German witch hut. The owners, a pewter caster and his fate weaving witchy wife, were such lovely people, inviting me to their home and granting me the opportunity to take a rare peek on a big black cat household. Unfortunately, they couldn’t keep all the kittens their sweet mother cat had birthed in May and were searching for a trustworthy owner to take some of them. Probably the most magical moment I ever had in October so far.

Before Halloween, there was All Hallow's Eve. And before All Hallow's Eve, there was Samhain—a traditional Celtic holiday in memory of ancestral spirits and loved ones who've passed on from this world to another.

Legend has it that the Veil separating the world of mortals from the otherworldly realms is particularly thin during the season of Samhain, causing ancient spirits, mythical creatures and old tales to awaken and return from the mists of time. It is this magical season of the year that inspired so many great stories. And the Legend of Gardyan is no exception. Therefore, let this Samhain be the one a second chapter is added to the latter. 🦉

Legend of Gardyan Book II: Sign of the Owl audio chapters will go live over the weekend with the prologue to the upcoming second volume on legendofgardyan.net and Spotify. It is planned that one chapter will be added each week, with the first three chapters being free on the LoG website. Brace yourself for a magical story with epic narration. May the Season of Mist commence. 🌫
