Another lovely evening spent together, this time learning from Joe with @progressnownm . Join us next month to make kites for @abqkites4gaza with @amongtherubblecollective on September 21! Check out @boost.nm.schools for more info on voice recording in APS schools. My gorgeous current embroidery pattern is by @cozyblue

This embroidery kit from @cozyblue is giving real @noahkahanmusic vibes. Especially now that we’ve gotten the record player back out and can play The Great Divide on vinyl. Now to add some sparkly seed beads for the background stars with the help of @pjolarson

Finished this gingko embroidery yesterday! Most of it was done in single strand, which is unusual for my work — but I love the effect. Printed fabric from a @cozyblue kit, who consistently makes the prettiest designs to embroider!

What's that? I actually have a FO to share? Unbelievable!

It's been a hell of a summer, but I'm thankful for my crafty community and the slow moments that handcrafts engender 💚

Embroidery kit purchased from The Sow's Ear and created by Cozy Blue Handmade! I really enjoyed this one 🌿

Well… I finally did it. 🖤

The Unraveled online shop is officially open.

One thing I’ve learned this year is that you don’t have to know exactly what you’re doing before you begin. You learn by trying. By making. By adjusting. By doing it anyway.

That’s true for a new craft… and apparently for opening an online shop, too.

So here it is. It’s not perfect, and it doesn’t have to be. It’ll grow and evolve just like every project we start with our own two hands.

If you browse, place an order, or let me know if you find something that could be better, you’re helping shape Unraveled from the very beginning.

Here’s to trying new things.
