Over the weekend, I was invited to an event at the Dallas Public Library. As a library lover and proud DPL card owner, I was STOKED!!!

It took place at the central library, which I had never visited! This location is MASSIVE. We met on the 7th floor, which has a mix of permanent and rotating exhibits that anyone can check out. But it’s also home to the vault, which is locked away and full of rare finds! As bookfluencers invited to this event, we had the unique opportunity to get a peek inside the vault.

Listening to the staff talk about the books inside the vault was incredible. I had no idea the vault even existed! My favorite piece inside was an illustrated version of Alice in Wonderland with art from Salvador Dali. I could’ve looked at it for hours!

A huge thank you to @dallaspubliclibrary for inviting me to this amazing event! I loved getting to experience this with other book lovers. It made me grateful for libraries in general, but I’m especially grateful for my library system!

Don’t have a library card? You can get one at your local library! Don’t be afraid to ask the librarians for assistance - they’re so kind and helpful. Libraries not only offer books and movies, but also they’re an important resource for the community!
