Area 54: Alien Disco is tomorrow! Hope to see you there👽💙✨️

Here’s a small bit from the our radio interview, dont mind my stumbles Ive never spoken on the radio before :p [thank you Wine Country Radio/ the drive 95.5 for having us]

I think chill spaces are such an important part of events. Sometimes you want to be right in the middle of a dance floor, and sometimes you want to sit back and experience the atmosphere in a different way. Both are part of the experience. Rest is part of the dance🖤

So stoked to work with artists who support other artists! So grateful to bring in some of my favorite creative friends and honored to be included as a tiny part of the entire gathering as a whole🌌

@brokenlantern_ 🕯️at @burningmancommunityevents Decompression at @theloomoakland - what an experience! ❤️‍🔥 And yes, this piece along with all the pieces created by Broken Lantern are available and for sale! 😌

I had the honor to host a collaborative mural this year at BM Decompression, representing Broken Lantern. I had actually just applied to live paint as an artist but @syndelic_art suggested that we could bring Broken Lantern to the event, and I’m so glad we did! Big thank you to Patrick as well for all the assistance and labor to make this mural happen. It was quite the journey, and we totally crushed it. 💘 :))

I stepped into the role of organizing, gathering materials, and building the whole project, bringing in 8 artists total working on this 5’x7’ mural together. We painted for almost 10 hours - pretty much until we weren’t allowed to do so hah! 🎨 So fun painting with some of my @campquestionmark Broken Lantern crew as well as my Bay Area artist community. I love how this piece came together and where it will be going.

I’m happy to share that this mural will be living at @theloomoakland for the foreseeable future for more eyes to enjoy. ❗️ Broken Lantern will return at the Loom events to continue working on this piece and new works beyond. Very grateful for this opportunity to collaborate with the Loom, sharing this piece, highlight Broken Lantern and the artists behind the work, and having an ongoing relationship of collaboration at the creative hub that is the Loom. We really feel the love & the support.

Being able to host this collaboration felt like a full circle moment. It was just a year ago that I met @artfool_ officially and had my first experience with Broken Lantern. It has become such a safe and happy place to keep returning to, growing closer and working with my fellow artists. Super proud to be able to represent Broken Lantern and share this creative gift for others to experience. Thanks Maurice for your support in this venture and for starting Broken Lantern Collective 🕯️ in the first place. 💖

Felix the #Gnome was painted with chalk paint and acrylic.

I used E600 adhesive to attach Pelioti to the brim of his hat 👒 and to add rhinestones to his beard.

The dirt on his shovel is flower arrangement foam put through the fine end of a cheese grater, mixed with acrylic brown paint, and painted on.

The shoes were primarily painted in chalk paint with the platforms coated in @mooncat 🌖🐈💅color ‘The Stolen Kiss’ for extra shimmer

Pelioti is made of fimo clay layered over a tight shaped piece of foil that runs the length of his body. Pelioti’s open mouth was made with an awl before baking pelioti at 225 degrees for 25 minutes and letting him cool overnight in the oven (to reduce the risk of him cracking).

Felix and Pelioti were created over several days in 4 locations across the greater Bay Area California, in the company of some of my talented friends @itstrulybyjulie @sierra_sounds and @cozyjossi

Check out @cozylittleheartshop in Oakland to meet some of these amazing and incredibly creative folks and to find incredible #handmadeart from the heart

Felix and Pelioti are excited to rejoin their rambunctious gnome community in Reno soon to show off their new tailored, #whimsicalcrafts look

Spending our Saturday at Cozy Little heART Shop. We had plenty to do, from painting to working together on this table.

This piece has now been worked on by three of us, plus another local artist. None of it was planned, but somehow all of our styles came together so naturally. I love when collaboration happens like that.🫀

Here at Cozy Little heART Shop, you can hang out, have good conversations, and enjoy all the different forms of creativity and expression around you.

Come stop by, spend some time with us, and maybe take home a unique little treasure while supporting local artists. 🖤
