Sometimes you can CAPTURE FLORA IN MOTION. Other times they catch you...when, by their very nature, they seem to embody movement.

The First Headphone.
.
.
Headphones originated fron the telephone reciever earpiece and were the only way to listen electrical audio signals before amplifiers were developed. The first truely successful set was developed in 1910 by "Nathaniel Baldwin" , who made them by hand in his kitchen and sold them to the United States Navy.
.
.
The headphones used moving iron drivers , with either single ended or balanced armatures. The common single ended type used voice coils wound around the poles of a permanent magnet which were positioned also to a flexible steel diaphragm. The audio current through the coils varied the magnetic field of the magnet , exerting a varying force on the diaphragm , causing it to vibrate , creating sound waves.
.
.
In 1914 , Baldwin started a business in East Millcreek , Utah called "The Baldwin Radio Company". The company peaked at 150 employees and $2 million in annual sales in 1920s.
