Today, we’re proud to publish the international edition of The Impossible President. Some stories stay with you because of the people at their heart.

This is the story of the women who dared, the women who stayed, and the women who refused to give up. Tinuke’s story is fictional, but her determination is familiar. It’s the same determination that continues to inspire people in stories such as Yanuni, where Juma Xipaia risks everything to protect her people and the Amazon rainforest. Different worlds, different journeys, but the same refusal to give up.

This edition is for girls who want an education, women who want to shape their own futures, and anyone who’s ever been told their dreams were too big. Tinuke’s journey is fictional, but millions of women around the world share her determination.

Come with us for a day in the life with SEMH teacher, content creator and author or ADHD: Levelled Up! - @mrgteacher📗

@mrgteacher created his book to help children understand Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder in a gamified and engaging way. The viral TikTok creator and teacher wasn’t diagnosed until adulthood.

We were proud to join him as his second book is in print @cpi.group 🏆

Joining him at @launchpodstudios for @notyourtypicalpod where Jamie aka Mr. G, continued the conversation.

Jamie, a teacher and voice for neurodivergent families, explained the importance of diversifying the approach to children in schools as individuals, not a unit. His online learning platform @theadhdschool sets an example for these inclusive methods using tailored learning formats to accommodate for different students.

At School of Influence, we believe that every child should receive the support they need to help them develop!

We finished the day with a delicious steak dinner accompanied by the team at @sweetcherrypublishing

How can we make publishing and printing more accessible? Earlier this week, two members of the Softwood Team, Alex and Florrie, attended @cpi.group 2026 Accessible Publishing Conference in London.

They enjoyed many panel discussions and guest speakers, focusing on accessible publishing and how publishers and printers can work together to make reading and learning more accessible.

The conversation ranged from different print formats (such as large print, or using symbols and sensory elements to tell stories) to AI and its impact on the accessibility of reading.

They were asked to consider “what is reading to you?” and dwell on the ways that reading has evolved and how it will, or should, evolve in the future. They were also each given a copy of Beth O’Brien’s novel Wolf Siren and a gorgeous notebook from CPI, made entirely out of leftover materials from the printing process, which was a plus!

Both Alex and Florrie left the event feeling inspired and informed about an area of publishing that needs to be considered in much more-depth.

In every year going forward, but especially in the National Year of Reading, publishers and authors need to consider different readerships and do what they can to “create a library of choice” (in Every Cherrys wise words). Thank you to CPI and RNIB for hosting the event, and for the sponsors who helped to make it happen - what an informative and uplifting day!

Today, I had the pleasure of speaking at @cpi.group’s Accessible Publishing Conference at the @rnib!

I got to talk about why accessible formats matter, something I care about so much that it was hard to keep my speech to 10 minutes! But I also got to hear others speak about all the thoughtful work that goes into making accessibility a reality, and the progress that is still to be made. ❤️

It was a special event to be a part of, not least because every attendee was gifted a copy of Wolf Siren in a format of their choice: regular print, large print, braille or audio CD!

Did I well up at the sight of the beautiful stacks of large print Wolf Sirens? Absolutely. In fact, I picked one up and hugged it! 🥹

Overall, I’m just so incredibly grateful to everyone who cares about making books accessible. You are all magic, thank you! 📚 Beth holding an A4 sized large print copy of Wolf Siren and a programme for the CPI Accessible Publishing Conference 2026.

I had the best day at @cpi.group signing books for independent booksellers with the help of Darcie, Mark, and Tanya of CPI, and the ever-amazing @sarahcbenton of @bonnierbooks_uk.

It was a team effort involving a lot of sharpies, signing, and stacking, but we made it through in record time. The high-viz vests are definitely imbued with energy-producing power.

Print is thriving and CPI is living proof. They print over 450 million books a year and they do it with such care.

🤩Losing my mind with excitement over seeing the finished copies of THE NEVERLAND THIEVES for the first time at @cpi.group — apologies for the joyful screeching but! I couldn’t help it!!

These are the Waterstones (red edges) *and* independent bookshop special editions (blue edges) and they are both SO STUNNING. Illustrated by @nichtlicht and designed by David McDougal and JUST SO AMAZING!! The first time we’ve ever had a hardback release in the U.K. and wow worth the wait!!
We signed thousands this day and are going back to sign thousands more later this month ☺️☺️
