We had a fantastic discussion with alumnus José Moreno today! Students had great questions about career opportunities in instrument repairs, and we were able to see José work his magic on quick repairs of a trumpet tuning slide, a tuba mouthpiece, and more. Thank you again, José, for visiting and representing @cppmusicdept @cppalumni !

We are thrilled to welcome back alumnus José Moreno (BM in Music Education ‘18) this week! He will be speaking in Dra. Vallejo’s class MU 4171W Theory, History, and Design of Musical Instruments. If you’re interested in learning more about careers in musical instrument repairs, construction, and sales, don’t miss his talk this Friday at 11am in room 160! José also specializes in classical clarinet as well as Mexican banda.
His talk is free, parking on campus is $8 (unless you go to the hourly lot), or save on gas and parking and take Foothill Transit. A flyer announcing alumnus José Moreno’s talk on careers in instrument repair. The background is a rusty orange color and text is in white, cream, and a soft yellow with shadow effects. Jose is dressed in a maroon shirt ands grey suit jacket, leaning against a wall and holding his clarinet as he looks to the right of the viewer.
