I just bought the CPU Micron plugin which is the emulation of the analogue synthesiser Roland's 1983 MC‑202 - here's the first go!

Big up to @cpurecords and everyone involved on making this happen. Super cool! 👽

Different machines. Different techniques. Different genres. Different places.

One same need: instinctive and necessary — the need to externalize what we carry within us, transforming it into sound, into music, into expressive sonic art.

As technology advances, human interaction becomes increasingly valuable. Because no technology or tool can ever replace the need to search, experiment, make mistakes, discover, and find our own way of expressing ourselves.

For more music. For more art.
For more interaction, dynamics, movement, dance.
For more experimentation.
For more mistakes. For more expression.
For more searching.

Summer is an exercise in transience, and September is the season of the return ticket.

A time to unpack our suitcases of sun-soaked memories and find someplace to keep them where they won’t fade as fast. A time of return to routines.

It is the time to engage the algorithm.

And yes, it’s time to return to being annoying on instagram.

And so I share a not-yet-faded summer memento in the form of this mix I did little over a month ago for @stookhoksessies. It is one hour of IDM, electro, breaks and jungle on vinyl. A kinda soundtrack to a planet inhabited by aliens and robots who have a penchant for UK sounds. Link in bio to listen 👾
Don’t be sad that summer’s ending;
be happy that you are much more likely to spot a deer in the autumn! 🦌

CPU Micron is a schematic-accurate software emulation of the analogue synthesiser voice from Roland’s 1983 MC‑202, developed by Central Processing Unit. Every value in its DSP is derived from the original circuit diagram and the real component values - the CEM3340 oscillator, the IR3109 filter, the discrete ADSR and LFO - and cross-checked against the manufacturer‘s own service-manual calibration steps and a working hardware unit. The result is a faithful recreation of a defining acid and electro bass voice, wrapped in a hardware exact control panel and delivered as a VST3, Audio Unit and standalone instrument for macOS, Windows and Linux. - software.cpurecords.net
