Meet Carrie! 🤗 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Carrie is a 500-HR RYT with a sunny personality that shines through in her teaching! ☀️ She credits her yoga practice for her ability to presence herself in daily life, especially when faced with pressures to multitask, rush, and distract. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “In my practice, when I feel the pull of an intrusive thought, I use my breath to return to my body and to the present moment. Sometimes, when I am feeling overwhelmed in regular life, I notice that without thinking I have tapped into my ujjayi breath – a powerful tool to get my head where my feet are both on an off the mat.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Carrie is passionate about teaching Sun Salutations. The shift in energy that occurs between the start and end of Sun Salutations is palpable. 🙏 Witnessing students tap into their breath and connect with their bodies is a beautiful thing! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When Carrie isn’t teaching yoga, you can find her rounding and teaching trainees (especially interns) in the Intensive Care Unit. 🩺 “I use honesty, transparency, and humor to help lessen the fear and anxiety that many trainees feel at the beginning of their ICU rotations.” Of course she does!! You can also find Carrie spending time with her husband, two kids, and their beloved Pit Bull, Blue. She loves hiking, exploring the outdoors, and cheering for the Bills! ❤️💙 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Take Carrie’s class: 💥 Mondays, 5:45-6:45am, Power Vinyasa 💥 Sundays, 3:30-4:45pm, Music Driven Power Vinyasa
