About this weekend in Chicago…

Everyone said it would be really hard to leave her. And it was. But what I’d hoped for was that she’d quickly make friends - and she sure did - with some of the most amazing people. Truly one of the best parts of the show was seeing how supportive these kids were of one another, and we could see how much they love Evie and how much she loves them.

Reuniting with her bestie was icing on the cake this weekend. ❤️🥰

The fact that she is thriving, loving the school, her classes, her “people”, makes it all worth it. My girl is exuding the light that I always knew was in her. And Craig and I get to watch it all unfold.

How lucky we are.

If you’re in Chicago tonight, Thursday or Friday, go check out my girl in the “First Look” Cabaret!! She’ll be performing a solo along with some group numbers! We can’t wait to see her again!! #musicaltheatre #college #singer #theatre #chicagotheatre

2 more college visits this week, plus headed back to Columbia Chicago to check it out one more time.
Stephens College was built in 1833 😳 and is a women’s college, but the conservatory is all genders. Amazing opportunities and staff - literally their whole staff is top notch.
Webster Sargent Conservatory of the Arts is a BEAUTIFUL campus with an amazing theatre and opportunities, and an amazing department head who loves Evie.
Then back to Columbia Chicago for Evie. She loves the vibe, loves the campus (amazing dorms!), and she had the opportunity to sit in on a class and we were able to meet the professors as well. Also, duh, Chicago 🤩
Still some decisions to be made, but final decision coming soon! This process ain’t for the weak! 🤯

Back to the @comedyattic tonight to see @longfellow_michael ‼️ Laughed so hard I cried because he takes his socks off like a gay cat 🐱 and I was DYINGGGG. So much fun and he confirmed @pascalispunk is as amazing as I think he is. I won’t tell you who he didn’t like because he said he’ll gaslight us 😅. Enjoy our progression of very bad photos.

A poem by Evie, maybe in 4th or 5th grade ❤️ My little feminist. She is bolder, smarter and stronger than I will ever be, and I wouldn’t want it any other way.

@eviepaige120 had the opportunity to sing “Still Into You” by Paramore at her final HS pops cabaret 🥹 The best part is the support these kids give each other!!! Photos courtesy the amazing @dannarhea
