Your team is working hard. So why isn't it showing up in the results?

Most leaders I talk to have capable people who care. What they're seeing is a gap between what their team can do and how they operate when pressure hits.

At CRAFT Performance, we help leaders and teams close that gap so capable people can perform consistently.

Gym, then walking the dogs. Every day. 🐾

People ask how I stay consistent. The answer: I stopped making it a decision.

One builds me up. The other brings me back. Both matter.

It is about having a practice you show up for whether you feel like it or not. That is where consistency comes from, and consistency is where performance is built.

A sometimes, we are lucky enough to encounter a bobcat also out for their morning stroll 😉

What is the one non-negotiable in your day?

Sunday Pre-set: Bedtime Routine

How you finish Sunday sets the tone for how you show up Monday.

We spend so much energy preparing for the week ahead: calendars, meal prep, to-do lists. But one of the most powerful things you can prepare is your recovery.

Sleep is not a break from performance. It is part of it.

My Sunday night pre-set:
▪️ Soothing water
▪️ Meditation
▪️ Music
▪️ Candles and dim light
▪️ Cool room
▪️ Sleep mask
▪️ Calming oils

None of this is complicated. The power is in giving your body and mind a clear signal that it is time to slow down.

How long are you going to keep choosing comfortable over what you are capable of?

Most of the people I work with already know they have more in them. They are capable, driven and good at what they do. But something keeps them stuck in the same patterns, and they keep waiting for the right time to change it.

Here is what I know after years of sitting across from people: change rarely starts with a plan. It starts with a conversation with someone who gets it.

That is why every CRAFT Performance engagement begins with a Connection Call. No pressure and no pitch. Just a real conversation about where you are, where you want to be and what is getting in the way.

If you are ready for something different but don't know where to start, let's chat.

Ninety days from today takes you to 2027.

90 days is enough time to make real change.

Pillars of Performance:

→ Daily Practices that make your best day repeatable

→ A Nervous System you intentionally move into your peak performance state

→ A Mindset shift that takes you from potential to committed action

→ Conversations that build Connection and alignment within your teams

→ Sharper Performance Skills that close the gap between knowing and doing

You don't need a new year to level up. You need a clear system and the next 90 days.

Which pillar would make the biggest difference for you before January? Tell me in the comments.

I've asked myself this question more times than I can count.

Am I living as I am, or as I want to be?

The honest answer used to be "as I am." Not because I didn't know what I wanted, but because it was easier to wait. Wait for the right time. Wait until I felt ready. Wait until life slowed down.

Here's what I've learned: the next 90 days will pass either way. You can spend them talking yourself out of the life you want, or you can spend them collecting evidence that you're becoming the person you imagine.

Small actions.
One day at a time.
Prove it to yourself.

If you're ready to close the gap, let's connect.

Who do you want to be known as?

I think about the distance between the little girl from Grassy Lake and the woman I am now. Where I thought I was going and where I ended up are miles apart.

I am proud of who I am in the world and have made a difference in the lives of the humans I have connected with in my career. Working as an ally in mental health and addiction has given me such a unique perspective and I have met the most amazing and resilient people.

I have worked as a clinician and climbed the corporate ladder. Obtained a diploma, a degree and finally a masters. Finally, I co-founded a successful business with my best friend @lindsey_kaupp
@craftperformance.ca.

I have many things that bring me joy in my life including my relationships, time in nature, my hobbies, my family, volunteering, the value of continuing to learn and grow as a human. I LOVE having fun. I am beyond grateful and blessed in this life.

If I was to give that small human some advice, I would tell her that she is always enough, being kind not only to others but yourself will take you far, stay close to people that feel like sunshine, and to find the things that bring you the most joy and do them as much as you can.

Do it anyway.

Not because you're motivated. Not because you're confident. Not because it feels comfortable.

Part of performance coaching is learning to act with intention rather than letting your emotions dictate your behaviour.

Recognize discomfort, regulate then do it anyway.

You don't need to feel ready. You need to build the capacity to show up.

That's how Potential becomes Performance.

A weekly reset isn't about judging your week. It's about learning from it.

Taking a few minutes to reflect helps us recognize what's working, identify where we can improve, and move into the next week with more intention.

Four simple questions:

1. What went well?
2. What did I struggle with?
3. What could I do differently?
4. What are my 3 priorities for next week?

The goal is to build awareness, make adjustments, and create consistency through small, intentional actions.

Reflection creates awareness. Awareness creates opportunity for change.

Take 10 minutes this weekend to reset before the week ahead.

Your nervous system doesn’t care how ambitious you are.

It doesn’t care about the title, the expectations, or how bad you want the outcome.

You can be driven, capable and incredibly good at pushing through AND still be operating from a state that is making performance harder.

That’s one of the things I find most interesting about high performers.

We often measure capacity by whether we can keep going.

But “I can handle it” and “this is sustainable” are two very different things.

Nervous system regulation isn’t about removing pressure or being calm all the time.

It’s about awareness.

Can you recognize the state you’re in?
Can you adapt when the demand changes?
Can you access what you need when it matters?

Because ambition can keep asking for more...

YOU have to be the one in the driver's seat...
