An appreciation post for the cyanotype pieces in my show “Naturally Subtle” ✨ I had so much fun making everything for the show but I think I had the most fun making these!

Cyanotype is such a fast process when you finally get to burning the design and developing it, only minutes, but months of brainstorming and planning these pieces so that those minutes culminated to what I had envisioned.

I am so proud of how they came out. I rarely have words in my art, so this was really fun to express sentiments that constantly play through my head and distill them down to something that could fit the canvas but also was possible with a children’s set of magnet letters haha

Come see them in person at @flowerfistmarket all of August! If you are curious about the cyanotype process, shoot some questions in the comments and I will make a little video covering your questions💛

One of the most amazing things about art for me is sharing it with others and the community that forms in and around it. My piece “Community Pride” in the show is dedicated to all of you.

My community inspires me, it takes care of me, and I truly don’t think I would be here without it.

I get to take my birth family to see it this week and my chosen family was there on opening night.

I hope you all get a chance to check it out and all @flowerfistmarket has to offer!! My show “Naturally Subtle” is up all month!
