Away days for the block C crew

You keep trying and failing to stick to it.

Something has got to be missing.

It's not having better recipes.

It's not training an extra day.

It's not doing more steps.

It's not even eating less food.

What's missing is something you never thought of...

Who's around you. Who's going through what you're going through. Who just "gets it".

Ready to stick to it this time? Door is open.

OMG! PUPPIES!!!

Sorry, let me collect myself...

Last week we did puppy yoga together.

Not a group session. Not anything directly to do with training. But, it absolutely was 😄😍

Just a group of people who started as clients and ended up in the same orbit, all coming together because they chose to get fit 💪

Everyone is on their own journey. Their own goals. Their own reasons for showing up.
But there's something about being around people who are also doing the work quietly and consistently, that makes your own journey feel less lonely.

Nobody here is doing it for each other. They're doing it for themselves. They just don't have to do it alone.

That's what I organise these meetups for. As a reminder to everyone that I work with, that there are people around them who get it.

Puppies help too.

If this sounds like the kind of environment you've been looking for the door is open.

This is what Coaching actually looks like.

Not just sessions. Not just programming. Not just hitting your macros.

It's coffee catch ups with people you wouldn't have met otherwise. It's eating cake with folk who get it. It's turning up to an event and seeing familiar faces that feel like more than just gym people.

When people join me they're not just getting a personal trainer.

They're joining something.

A group of people who are all figuring it out; different goals, different starting points, same commitment to showing up.

The meetups exist because training can be lonely. Because having someone to message who gets it when others don't.

Because knowing there are people in your corner, beyond just your coach, changes everything.

This is the part nobody see's.

And it's the part most people say they didn't expect, but wouldn't trade.

If this looks like something you've been missing, the door is open.

New studio. Same coach. A whole lot of excitement.

I've just moved into Base Training and honestly! I am buzzing.

New space. New equipment. New energy.
And the same passion for coaching that's driven everything I've done for the last 6 years.

A space that matches the standard I hold myself and my clients to. Somewhere that feels right the moment you walk in.

I train busy people in their 30s one to one, and duo's, who've let their health slip while life took over, and who are ready to do something about it.

People who want to feel strong, capable, and confident again without overhauling their entire life to get there.
That's what we do here. That's what gets me out of bed in the morning.

If you've been thinking about it, considering making a change, wondering if now is the right time. Then as I've taken a big step to a new space, I've also opened up more spaces for new clients at Base Training from next week.

Come and find out what this place feels like.
The door is open. 🖤

November 2021. I walked into ActivScotland with a plan, a passion, and ready to build something!

Nearly 5 years later I'm walking out a different coach. More knowledgeable, more experienced, and clearer than ever on exactly the kind of coach I want to be.

That studio gave me everything I needed to grow. The space to develop. The freedom to build something genuinely great.

And the community, the colleagues, my clients who showed up week after week and trusted me with their fitness, health and growth.

I had a photo shoot in that studio where I looked absolutely ripped. I had spinach thrown over me by Big Roy while I shoved a doughnut in my mouth like there was no tomorrow. I had sessions that changed people's lives and sessions that quietly changed mine too.

To every single person tagged in this post thank you! You were part of something I'll never forget. You showed up, you trusted the process, and you made this the best job I've ever had.

Leaving is bittersweet. That place shaped me.

But the next chapter is already here. New studio. Same coach. Even better version.

Motivation is overrated.
Every client I've worked with who's stayed consistent long term, it was never because they were more motivated than anyone else.

It was because they stopped waiting to feel ready and found somewhere they actually wanted to show up to.

That shift from forcing it alone to belonging somewhere... That's what changes everything.
If you're in Glasgow and you're tired of trying to motivate yourself into the gym, this is what we do differently.

To the gym who's putting in the work and seeing progress over time.

We chip away at it, we stay consistent at it, and we pick up new habits along the.

The destination is good, but, the progress you see and the changes you adpot along the way don't forget to celebrate that.

Just like @craigied76

What is it I actually do?

It can seem odd to imagine what it is I actually do, I'm sure most picture me coaching people in the gym, then training myself, and that's pretty much it.

You may not know how I operate, who I work with, what I do support you on, and what I don't recommend.

Here's a snapshot summary of what it is I do.

Getting fit and healthy isn't just about going to the gym and breaking a sweat.

It's about realising your potential of how strong you are how capable you are, and breaking through that discomfort of the gym as you get to know others and celebrate their journey, as you celebrate theirs.

It's pushing yourself pst what you thought your potential was, it's realising you're A LOT stronger, A LOT fitter, and A LOT more capable that you realised.

It's been a month so far, how far along are you?

Lost your first 10lbs yet? And kept it off?

If not, you need to consider why...
