I’m really excited to be joining the team at 121Gym Newport as a Personal Trainer and Coach. 😊

I’ve been coaching in Bristol for several years, and still am……helping people become stronger, move better and feel more confident in themselves — and I’m so looking forward to bringing that experience to Newport.

My own fitness journey started around 10 years ago, when I realised I wanted more for myself. I wanted to feel stronger, healthier, more confident and more like me. What started with fitness became something much bigger — learning what I was capable of, inside and out.

That’s a huge part of how I coach today.

Whether you’re completely new to the gym, returning after some time away, navigating changes in your body, or simply know you’re ready to feel better than you do right now, I’d love to help.

You don’t need to have it all figured out before you start.

We can talk through where you are, where you’d like to be and find a way forward that works for you.

I really believe we’re capable of so much more than we sometimes give ourselves credit for.

If you’d like to have a chat about your goals, come and say hello in the gym or drop me a message. 🤍

Sound like you? Meet Tom.

"Willing. Improving. Inconsistent."

Three words that sum up most of us. Unbound is built for players like Tom.

Tom found us through Instagram, came for a free taster session and expected tennis in a box. What he found was something different.

"You don't need to be good at racket sports to enjoy it. Within one session you'll probably be having proper rallies. Then it gets addictive."

"You can take the game seriously without it ever feeling too serious. You're exercising, competing and having a laugh all at the same time."

"Unbound feels like a proper community rather than somewhere you just turn up, play and leave."

This is exactly why we built unbound.

Free taster sessions available.

Look out for the next one on Padel Mates, or DM us to find out more.

The past couple of weeks have definitely looked a little different!

I had a week of simply enjoying training and getting back to doing the things I’ve missed the most (mainly CrossFit classes). It was great to train without overthinking it and just have some fun.

This past week has been all about getting back into 70.3 specific training. I’ve loved being back in the pool, and it’s been the perfect opportunity to complete some fitness testing too. I was lucky enough to have my lactate threshold tested with @fitnesscheckuk.

The lactate threshold test has given me a much better understanding of where my aerobic and anaerobic thresholds sit. Having this data means @coachphilmataj and I can tailor my training zones more accurately, making each session more purposeful as we build towards next season. It’s something I would definitely recommend to cut out the guess work.

I’m excited to put this information into practice and see how it translates into training over the coming weeks.

Time to trust the process, stay consistent, and keep building ✨

As we approach our fifth birthday, one of our proudest achievements is the team we've built. We all share the same values and a commitment to delivering the very best for our clients and the communities we serve, which is why it felt so important to give something back with our team away day back in April.

Great day at the @newportmazda Padel Tournament on Sunday. 🎾

Managed to make it to the semi-finals before winning 3rd place 💪🏽

Big thanks to the organisers @shanepharris and @craigefx for putting on such a great event and to everyone I played against throughout the day. The standard was good and the atmosphere was spot on 👏🏽

Proud to be representing @matchboxpickleball and already looking forward to the next tournament.

3rd place this time… 1st place next time 👊
