Genuinely chuffed to be announced as a finalist for TWO Queensland Golf industry Awards this year — PGA Club Professional of the Year and PGA Management Professional of the Year 😬😬

There’s no question that this industry throws a lot at you, and I certainly throw a lot back at it, sometimes to the detriment of time with those closest to me. To have been acknowledged like this means a lot and I’m genuinely grateful for the nomination

Big congrats to everyone else named alongside me — some great professionals in that list, well earned by all.

Huge thanks to the @pgaofaustralia and all the other governing bodies for putting these awards on 🙌

Went out with a bang for my last round played @parkwoodvillage before I finish up next week. -7 under par (65) of the black tees this week certainly feels better than my 66 last week off the blues.

Putter is feeling amazing for the first time in 20 years! Hope to keep this rolling into November. 💪

I’m pleased to share that last week I accepted the position of Director of Golf at @indooroopillygolfclub

To be involved in a club with a proud history, strong traditions and a large membership base is an opportunity I’m incredibly excited about and one that I feel very grateful to have been offered.

To be joining Indooroopilly as the club celebrates its Centenary year makes the opportunity even more special, and I’m looking forward to being part of such an important chapter in the club’s history.

I’d like to thank everyone at Parkwood Village, from the directors and staff through to the membership for the opportunity to be part of the business over the past 20 months and for trusting me with the opportunity to help shape the golf operation into the future. I’m incredibly grateful for the support, friendships and experiences I’ve taken from my time at Parkwood.

My final day at Parkwood will be Saturday, 12 September, before I begin my new role at Indooroopilly on Wednesday, 16 September.

Today I made the trek up to Brisbane to play in the Queensland PGA professionals championship and qualifier for the national final of the PGA professional championship.

I almost didn’t play this morning after battling a pretty crazy six hour stint of Gastro 24 hours earlier but I woke up this morning feeling okay so I thought it was worth a shot.

I’m glad I did as my -1 under par and tied 11th position got me through for the national final.

Looking forward to heading back down to the @hgccgolf in November to compete in the $100,000 event and qualifier for the Australian PGA championship

The final week is here.

As I wrap up my time at Parkwood Village, I just want to say thank you to everyone in the golf team, F&B team, and the broader management group for the support, laughs, and memories over the past 18 months.

Looking back, it’s incredibly satisfying to see how much the property has changed for the better during that time, from Cyclone Alfred in my first month, flooding from apocalyptic rains to some of the more weirder incidents on the course and in the club, it’s been a journey.

One of my favourite sayings from the All Blacks is to “leave the jersey in a better place than you found it.” I genuinely believe I’ve been able to do that, and I’m proud of what we’ve achieved together! The beauty about Golf is that it’s never easy and you will encounter speed bumps on the way, but the rewards come in all different shapes, sizes and experiences!

A huge thank you to @craigmdavis and @lukealtschwager for taking a chance on a bloke from Yorkshire who speaks a bit funny, complains a bit too much, but always gives everything to the job. Without your support and belief, I wouldn’t have achieved what I have nor made the impact!

To everyone I’ve worked with, members, guests, and friends thank you. It’s been a privilege.

The next chapter starts soon, and I’ll be sharing details of my new role a little later. I’m excited for what’s ahead! ⛳️

But for the moment - SQUIRTY OUT ✌🏻

Back on the tools again today at Howeston GC in Brisbane. What a hidden little gem of a place! Some serious county vibes from back home. ❤️

Unfortunately after a steady start with an easy run of 9 pars in a row, I had a little bad patch from 10-13 that basically blew my day. Nice to get a single birdie with a couple to go but still a long way off my best… 😔

Not to be making excuses at all but golf is getting pretty hard with my psoriasis flaring up like a mofo at the moment 😔 fingers and hands feeling like paper cuts all over them.

I don’t think in professional sport there’s much harder than trying to compete when your body won’t let you.. 🤦🏼‍♂️

The Renegade Vault from @ogio_au is the perfect addition to any golf trip!

The Vault’s exterior features ultra-durable carbon fibre corner protectors and a high-impact shell built to take hits and keep moving. The SilentRun 360° spinner wheels provide such a smooth roll too it feels like the bag is literally hovering.

Coming in a large and a carry on size for all trip types. I’m looking forward to taking these ones away with me next week!

Currently OGIO Australia has a huge online sale so if you want to snap up yourself some of this amazing luggage head to the link in my bio.

First win of 2026 in the books!

Had a bit of a day out today, playing around the Home track @parkwoodvillage in the @pgaofaustralia open match that we hosted at the venue today.

I didn’t think I had these types of rounds in me any more. 😳Such a great feeling to wind the clock back and shoot my lowest round in years. Seven underpar 64. Woohoo.

A true Melbourne weather day today.

Unfortunately overnight and this mornings downpours made play in the first round of the Australian PGA Professionals championship unviable with play being abandoned before it even begun. With the sun shining to end the day today, tomorrow should be a much nicer day.

Tomorrow we play round 1 and 2 across the day meaning some old bodies like mine will be feeling every bit by the end of the day.

Solid warmup and plenty of anti inflammatorys will be on the cards for the day. 😂

Bring on tomorrow.
