⛳️🥶❄️🏌️‍♀️ Winter golf is here!

As a golf sim owner for 4+ years, here are my top 3 tips for this winter…

1️⃣ Get in there as much as you can! Whether for a fun knock with the crew or for some actual practice, keeping the clubs swinging means that you’re not going in cold (pun intended, Dad) when you get out for a smash on course.

2️⃣ Listen and feel. Sim golf comes with nuance: “amazing” shots that come from terrible strokes, etc because of the mat rebound. But, using my sim constantly has taught me how everything feels coming off the face. I can call a start line, bend, etc on how a shot feels and sounds. Why is this useful? With competence comes confidence - it can help you to understand why you’re doing what you’re doing and to remedy it instead of “dang this is just a bad day”.

3️⃣ Your swing may change! I’ve seen countless golfers walk into the sim and start to suffer from “indoor swing syndrome”, where you subconsciously feel like you can’t properly swing because of “being near a wall or the roof”. It’s totally made up in your head. You can swing just fine, you won’t hit anything so make your big turns and beautiful Rory and Nelly finishes! If you’re suddenly terrible inside, this is probably the problem!

I was today years old when I finally BROKE 80!

Turns out, you can’t break 80 in 6 months. It takes 10 months.

Needless to say it took an army of amazing humans to pull this off.

In less that a year of golf I have SUCCESSFULLY hit a 350 yard drive, got a hole in one & now broken 80.

Thank you Marcus at GRF Golf for the swing and continued mentorship, Will at Zen Golf for the guidance & for my putting, Karl Morris at Mind Caddie for helping me get my head in the right mindset to pursue the course, Rick Shiels for taking the time to help me and give me a chance on day one, Craig Fox for building the team and backing me from day one, and James Savage at Titleist for believing in me and investing in this journey.

Thank you to everyone who invited me to events, trusted me with spots in tournaments, and kept pushing me forward. The support I’ve had from the golf community this year has been unbelievable.

I was adamant I wanted to get this done before the season ended and the weather took over.

Now, it’s done.

I’m proud. I’m grateful. And what’s next is bigger and better than Break 80.

I’ve got an itch I need to scratch 😘
