THE MOMENTS NOBODY PHOTOGRAPHS

Looking back at these photos, funny enough, I don’t remember the podiums. I don’t remember the medals, the times, the scores, or the flags I stood behind representing my district, my state, my country… even when on some of the biggest stages within my respective sports.

What I do remember are:

The early mornings that got me there.
The friendships built in the process.
The communities that became home.
The version of myself I had to become to keep showing up.

Sport gave me all of it… a passport to the world, a career I love and people I’ll keep around for life.

None of that came from standing on top of a podium. It came from everything it took to get there.

It’s easy to get so fixated on the goal that you forget to notice everything happening around it. The people. The process. The version of you it’s shaping. Don’t wait until it’s over to see that.
