Crop & Trade Co Op, what a great, sustainable project, which on June 1st will be one year old🎂♻️🥳⛰️🫚
Looking for a piece of land to grow vegetables . . . this is the dream of @cranstalkryston, who has already made one of her biggest dreams come true; a grocery store in the area where she lives, which was a food desert.
Aa a sustainable development student, she rapidly identified the indicators of a low-income area. She wanted to break them down.
Many incredible people, like Ballard Reynolds of B.A.D Composting and Sarah Zurhellen of Todd Mercantile, joined forces. Forty two souls involved in this amazing project. (and it’s great not to have to travel to Todd to be able to get the delicious pastries of Todd Mercantile.)
And there’s much more on the horizon. We’ll keep posted because this won’t be our last visit!
