Obsidian is a Queer Space 🌈

As a queer person, does it ACTUALLY make a difference to work in a queer space, rather than a space that is “welcoming”?

Crash said, “Working in a queer salon has broadened my horizons and love of my community, as well as boosted my confidence and pride for being queer, and encouraging my clients to be their fullest and truest selves.

Meeting so many people, hearing their stories and interpreting their personalities to create the hairstyle they want, has been not only a creative journey of growth but a personal one too.

I am so grateful to work alongside so many incredible people with so many different voices, experiences, and outlooks. I always find myself saying “I love my job” to anyone who asks :)”

Our team represents who we are as a salon. Queer people doing rad hair. Come hang with my favorite Queerdos!

Things may not be as predictable as we'd like but I'm grateful for the people who are part of our local community.

2025 has been CRAZY but we'll keep being crazier.

🌈 Thank you to my team for choosing to work in a salon that wants to make a difference

✨ Thank you to the clients that trust us with one of their most sacred parts of their identity

🔮 Thank you to our local community for showing up supporting causes we believe in like @norcal_resist

May you enjoy your friends, family, or whoever you're with today.

And remember - #landback to the people who've always been here

It doesn't have to be complicated boo.

Find a salon that markets to your peeps or peeps adjacent and the rest will be history.

I personally love the variety of cool people that come into our salon and the variety of kickass work my team can put out.

We've got curls, colors, cuts, and extensions covered for just about everyone 😜

But extra points for our fellow weirdos 🤭
