It’s NOT a game to our Vybz Tribe when it comes to this vinyl!

As soon as I posted this Prince record, @mikal_s hit me up and was ready to meet me at the barbershop to secure it! She grabbed it the SAME DAY I posted it! She wasn’t about to wait until our next market or Pop-Up!

Mikal, we appreciate you so much, along with all of our Vybz Tribe members who share the same love and passion for vinyl and music that we do. It’s truly an honor and a blessing to provide you with the vinyl you covet. 🙏🏾

And a special shout out to Brian at @goldcoastbarbershop for allowing us to use his place of business to conduct Vinyl Vybz business (and for always providing me with a next level haircut! ). Thank you for your generosity, support, and artistry. We appreciate you, fam!

It’s been challenging sourcing OG Hip-Hop albums. So we were very excited to get our hands on a bundle of them recently. Here are a few of our favorites.

WE THE PEOPLE. ❤️🎤 The future isn’t something we simply inherit. It’s something we create, together.

Last Saturday, @tedxchicago returned with a powerful reminder that progress, possibility, and meaningful change begin with us.

From thought-provoking conversations to powerful performances, this year’s theme, “We The People,” brought together visionaries, artists, entrepreneurs, and changemakers challenging us to imagine what becomes possible when we move from spectatorship to participation.

As a Chicago creative and visual storyteller, there’s something special about witnessing the people shaping our city’s future and getting to capture a few of those moments through my lens. 📸✨

Grateful to have been there alongside @bronzevillewinery, who brought their own flavor of community and hospitality to the experience! 🍷

And a special shoutout to @kelly_martina, Executive Director of TedxChicago, and the entire team for bringing another incredible year of ideas worth spreading to life! 👏🏽

Because the future isn’t built by any one of us. It’s built by all of us. ✊🏽 WE THE PEOPLE.

📸 Were you at TEDxChicago this year? I captured so many incredible moments that couldn’t all fit into one carousel! If you’d like to see more photos from the event, send me a DM and I’ll happily share the full gallery. ❤️

Much love to my barber and friend Brian @goldcoastbarbershop for supporting Vinyl Vybz!
You’re always saying how it’s important to help people be “seen”. And you show that each time I see you through your words and actions.

We appreciate you and look forward to building with you in the future!

This is 47!

I am truly grateful for all the calls, texts, social media comments and messages from everyone yesterday. ❤️

This birthday was time well spent with family and then with my birthday twin @trelynnrenee for our annual traditional lunch (@lecolonial_restaurants , thank you for the royal treatment), followed by a bit of shopping, of course.

Special thanks to @cratediggahash and @mj3.0 for giving me gifts that were made by hand and with love! My quiet birthday dinner at home, with my two favorite guys, was exactly what I not only needed, but wanted.

I’m beyond blessed to see another year! 🙏🏽

Off to the homecoming dance he goes…well, AFTER pre-gaming with friends at a nearby restaurant.

He was determined to be with us at TEDxChicago all day, representing @vinylvybzrecords, before heading off to his dance. He really Is the best!

So if you’re attending, be sure to stop in and say hello, shop our crates, and listen to some amazing vinyl.

After months working on new pieces, following instinct and not really knowing if your work will resonate when you finally take it to market, it means so much to have these Chicago's tastemakers show the new work so much love🖤
