Tonight we hung out at one of the great dive bars of LA @crawfordsbarla to see a staple of the LA Country Scene @cb.brand.ville They hard to pick up the pool table and move it to the corner to play but some how a 5 piece country band and a bunch of TwoSteppers squeezed in and we had a blast with some delicious fried chicken 🍗 Band @dbaine @travpop Mikey Whiteside on Keys @sean.of.finland

One of my favorite regular bars in the world. Cheap cold ones, comfy booths, fried chicken, quality music, cozy vibe … you can’t ask for much more! Crawfords Historic Filipinotown, Los Angeles

crawfords i really wanted to like these but i can't say i did. i admire that they took a risk and went for a waffle cut. i really do. it's a whimsical choice and the world of sweet potatoes needs more playful choices. unfortunately that whimsy cost them flavor and texture. they were bland, tough, and dry. three things a fry should not be. i should mention — these came highly recommended and were not easy to get my hands on. every time i went to crawfords they were out. i enjoy scarcity so i was excited to say the least when i finally had the opportunity to try them. but the chicken is good and the beer is cold.
