there’s something about developing film that feels like witnessing my soul gather its own constellation. 🌌

we think of photographs as a way of preserving memories from the past. for me, they feel like breadcrumbs scattered along my path . . . little filaments of light reminding me that i’m part of a larger story, woven by invisible threads. ♾️

This Unfamiliarity Is Something I’m Becoming Used To was inspired by my early 20s moving from Auckland to the city-state of Los Angeles. Started in 2019, finished in 2024. A five year multi-nation conversation.

Big S/o to @timfromthehouse the patient maestro on production, graciously coming back into the fold to finish it with me years later.
To @willthomasnz who birthed it with us.
To @elroytf for blessing it with his drum kit.

Special S/o to @adnaan.narot the master savant
And love to my fellow cap wearers @collectionofemotions @leclair____

The first single from my new project Dadada out now on all platforms and algorithms.
