Ight so BOOM! Andrew and I traveled up to Skidmore College for our mentee Che’s graduation. When I talk about the impact of art and mentorship this moment is exactly what I mean!

My mentors helped to shape, mold and guide me through a variety of life lessons and the only way to pay them back was to pay it forward.

Y’all dont understand! I felt such a strong sense of pride as I walked into the outdoor theatre. Understanding the current political, social and economic climate we are fighting against right now I am so proud of the strength and resilience that Che possesses.

At his core it comes from the love and care surrounding him from both sides of his family, bonded friendships and colleagues. I feel so fortunate to be a positive influence and contribute any wisdom that has been given to me.

I can’t believe the little quiet kid in my summer mural class has developed into a composed, thoughtful and talented Artist. Looking forward to see wha the future has for you past this miles stone.

There are certain things in life that are worth while when you do it with the ones you love. So for the first time ever I did a mini workout sesh with my brother @crazygeek123 💪🏾👊🏾💯 It takes real discipline to do things like getting proper exercise and in order to make it more enjoyable, I highly recommend to do it with family and friends 🫶🏾✨💯
Surrounding yourself with people who are on that same go getter never give up mindset as you are is really like a healing medicine for the mind, body, and soul. The Bible says in Psalms 133: 1 “How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!” 📖✝️ This doesn’t just apply to working out by the way. This goes for intimate gatherings, celebrations, and especially fellowships for those who go to church ⛪️ So I wanna encourage everyone today that if there’s something in life that you need to do more of but you need extra motivation, think about the ones you’re doing it with. God is so good that in a world of chaos, drama, and negativity, he puts certain people in our lives for a reason and it’s important that we take advantage of that opportunity to spend quality time with them as much as possible.
