Tough day on Lake Champlain for the Bass Regional. 17 lbs 4 oz has me in a three way tie for 77th, the only real highlight was this super long and skinny 4 lbs 4 oz largemouth chilling in my smallie spot. Couple of things on the boat just stopped working for literally no reason today too which I'll have to deal with when I get back. It is what it is. Just going fishing tomorrow, boat 111 and no co-angler, no expectations or goals.

Good start on the first day of practice for the @bass_nation Regional on Lake Champlain yesterday. Rolled with a good game plan and made it work on a ton of different spots! A pretty good day overall, but I still have some work to do with finding the bigger ones!

First day of the season chasing fluke and it was a total success! Managed a full limit with a 24 1/2" taking top honors, and two others over 21". Also a solid heartbreak moment with a 35 1/2" skate that I thought was a 15lb+ doormat. It feels great to be back at what I love most on the salt pond! I would like to add that this skate was absolutely delicious. I was pleasantly surprised! If you enjoy sweeter, milder, and crabish flavor at all, this is all of it put together!

Slammer day on the water with my boy G! More tog than we could keep count of. I abslolutely love days like these! The ship needed a new fuel line and thanks to @jcs_marine_ we were up and running in no time! I must say, I tossed this poached tog over risotto recipe together the other day and it's absolutely out of this world! If interested, just let me know! It's simple, quick, and 🔥

The end is not avoidable. However, the journey to the end is everlasting! Another year up north and the birds did not disappoint 🙌 Two big gobblers down and both hunts were absolutely textbook and what dreams are made of! To my family up north, THANK YOU for hosting my family for yet another year. We love you guys from the bottom of our hearts and we will see you soon! From the camo, calls, choke tubes, and ammo, this is why it's all worth it and what we live for! 🦃

Potential Rhode Island state record matched sheds. 156 7/8" Non-typical whitetail. To add, this was public land and officially scored by the NBBC. I have been asked a ton of questions since I found the first side with serious palmation. Well, a week and 30 miles later (100 miles total), I finally found the second side 270 yards away. What an absolute incredible journey and learning experience during my first season of shed hunting. Big thank you to @ri_sportfishing for listening to all of my "next plans" to find the beast. Your positive attitude, energy, knowledge, and encouragement are contagious! A huge shout out to my wife @wec.ashley and my dad for holding the household down while I pursued a new obsession that went from zero to hero real quick. At the end of the day, persistence, passion, and a ton of support turned out to a successful mission and a trophy of a lifetime. Small state, big potential. Follow your heart. First year shed hunting. 75"+ 8 point side. Non-typical Rhode Island public land. YES, RI PUBLIC LAND. What a journey. 90 miles walked as of this post, 20 looking for the other side.
