What a day for our community! Together, we raised $3,640 for the @crbfoundation .

A huge thank you to KNGgripz, SK3D, Dippin’ Dots, Five Passions Artisan Bakery, That Keeper Co, Billaband, Kochi, Dream Hire Design and Complete Mobile Electronics for their generous support and prize donations to our raffle.

To everyone who donated to slime a coach, bought a raffle ticket or supported the stalls: thank you. You brought so much fun to the day and helped us raise money for a wonderful cause. 💙💛

💙 Miniroos Presentation - Season 2026 💛

Saturday’s MiniRoos Presentation Day was the perfect way to wrap up another fantastic season at Brindabella Blues FC.

☀️ The sun was shining, the fields were lined with stalls, and most importantly, there were plenty of smiling faces. A huge turnout of players, parents, coaches and managers made the day a great one to end the season.

On top of the seasons presentation, it was also a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together and raise funds for the Cooper Rice-Brading Foundation for Sarcoma Research. @crbfoundation

💚 A massive thank you to all of our coaches who took on the sliming challenge, particularly those who donated to get them in the seat 🟢

Thank you to everyone who supported the fundraising effort, from our amazing families and wider community to the many stallholders and sponsors who generously donated their time, products and support to help make the day such a success.

Days like Saturday are a great reminder that our club is about more than what happens on the football field. It’s about community, connection, giving back and creating great memories for our kids. 🤝

To our MiniRoos players — congratulations on a fantastic season! 🏆⚽

To our coaches, managers and volunteers — thank you for everything you have given to our players throughout the year. 💪🏼

And to our parents and families — thank you for being part of the Blues family. ⚽️

In a few days’ time, my daughter and I will be going the distance for Chris O’Brien Lifehouse, something that has become a tradition for us.

This place that my husband and I used to call our “second home” gave so much hope to Igor and our family. It was where he received incredible care, where we met people who became such an important part of our journey, and where a clinical trial ultimately gave Igor many more precious years on this earth.

As many of you know, cancer has impacted so many of my loved ones — my husband, my brother, friends, aunties and uncles.

When you’re young, you never really think cancer will affect you. You think it happens to other people, or that it is something you’ll have to worry about much later in life. But the reality is, cancer does not discriminate by age. In Australia, around 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer before the age of 85. Every year, thousands of young Australians are also told the words that can change a life forever.

Today, I visited Lifehouse and had the privilege to reflect on Igor’s journey, his story, and the person he was…it reminded me why I continue to share his story.

Igor fought incredibly hard to survive. But more than his fight, I want people to remember how he lived.

He cherished his life. He cherished his friends. He cherished his family. He was good at bringing people together, he found joy in the little things, made memories wherever he could and, despite everything cancer threw at him, he never stopped choosing to live.

That is the part of Igor’s story I want to keep spreading, his positivity, his strength, his fight for survival and his incredible ability to make the most of the life he was given. But we also want to keep fighting for better treatments, more cures and higher survival rates, so that more people have the chance to live long, full lives, and fewer families have to have their futures cut short.

So, in a few days, we will lace up our shoes and go the distance for him.

For Igor.

For my brother.

For my friends, family and all those we have loved and lost.

And for every person and every family still facing cancer today.

Because behind every statistic is a person. A fam

Bibs n bobs. This ‘n that. Odds ‘n ends from the camera roll.
A diverse kinda month: it may be winter, but was a goodie to get homey things done; get stuck into work; watch the World Cup from bed; to write; to pod; to radio; theatre adventures; ‘maintain’; hang; exercise & plot the next half of the year. . .
Finished up the month sick & with a little tonsilitis situ but hey, the house is warm & the chicken soup is on tap ☺️🥣

Perspective . . . I walked into a #podcast recording today not quite knowing what to expect. I walked out floored. Two women. Both diagnosed with sarcoma - one of the rarer cancers most people haven’t heard of until it arrives in their lives. Both amputees. Both absolutely, unstoppably alive. Their stories came together through the Cooper Rice-Brading Foundation - @crbfoundation - of which I am ambassador & was set up in memory of teenager Cooper, who faced the disease with a bravery that stays with you.
And what a legacy he left.
Sarcoma is rare. It’s brutal. And it doesn’t get nearly enough attention.
Both @carmen_sandiegoh & @anne__bionica are living full, fierce & resilient lives after their diagnosis and the joy & positivity in the poddie studio was infectious.
Their stories are raw, real and genuinely remarkable & proof that a diagnosis, however devastating, does not define you.
Both could not have talked more highly of the world renowned @chris_obrien_lifehouse too 🙏🏼🙏🏼

On a sparkling Sydney day, with that ridiculous blue harbour doing its thing at the Park Hyatt Sydney I had the absolute honour of co-hosting the annual Mother’s Day High Tea for the @crbfoundation ❤️
A day filled with love, resilience, families, friendship & the kind of warmth that stays, especially when you are in a room of people who have been touched in some way, or who were there to support more research into one of the most insidious soft tissue & bone cancers - #sarcoma.
Cooper Rice-Brading’s story (he’s the CRB in the Foundation name) is one that continues to move many of us.
Sarcoma is a cruel cancer that affects far too many young people & the foundation, started by his parents, Tania and Colin and brother Mitch work tirelessly to change that.
The foundation has gone from strength to strength - the list of sponsors for a day like this is endless. And with the most minimal government support - like next to nothing - it takes 24/7 commitment & passion - because yes, one day there WILL be a cure.
Expert cancer professors, sarcoma survivors and those still going through treatment were all on hand to share their stories

I was also incredibly touched (and genuinely proud) to - along with my other quiet charity/volunteer work - have been announced as an official #ambassador for the foundation.
I adore this family, their heart, their spirit, generosity & the extraordinary work they do.
Helping fundraising organisations is about donations, indeed, but it’s also is about boots-on-the-ground and that is something more people could be doing. 🙏🏼
Always goes to show that sometimes the most meaningful & rewarding rooms aren’t always the loudest, but ones filled with purpose. 🤍

At number 9 in our top 10 moments of 2025 is our annual MID YEAR SHOWCASE! This is a special occasion as we raise money for a charity very close to Miss Stacey, the Cooper Rice-Brading Foundation.

This is also such a great experience for our younger dancers, getting to practice on a smaller stage before the big end of year concert!
