Van een digitaal ontwerp naar een echte eyecatcher in huis! 🌹 Ik blijf het bijzonder vinden wat je tegenwoordig allemaal zelf kunt maken met een 3D-printer. Deze roos printte ik met de Creality K2 Combo. Via Creality Cloud koos ik dit ontwerp en dankzij het CFS-systeem wisselt de printer tijdens het printen automatisch tussen de verschillende kleuren. Zo ontstaat er stap voor stap een tweekleurige roos! Met een printruimte van 260 × 260 × 260 mm is er genoeg ruimte om veel verschillende items in verschillende afmetingen te maken. En met de Silent Mode kun je ook een stuk stiller printen. Ideaal voor thuis! Een designvaas die helemaal past bij mijn interieur? Die print ik tegenwoordig gewoon zelf! 🤍 Met de Creality K2 Combo ontdekte ik hoe leuk het is om zelf unieke woonaccessoires te maken. Van het uitkiezen van een ontwerp tot het eindresultaat: zo bijzonder om iets wat je normaal in een woonwinkel zou kopen, gewoon thuis te kunnen creëren. En het leuke? Je hoeft helemaal geen ervaring te hebben met 3D-printen om ermee aan de slag te gaan! Ik downloadde deze vaas via de Creality cloud en heb dezelfde vaas in twee afmetingen geprint. Today we’ve been working on two Velociraptors from the kitchen scene in Jurassic Park (1993)! 🦖 The eyes are almost finished, and we’ve built a stand so everything can be assembled properly. The Raptors still need some finishing work and sanding. Once that’s done, we can install the eyes and finally start painting them! For Comic-Con in November, we’ll be displaying just the heads. Then, for Comic-Con in June 2027, we’ll assemble the complete bodies, attach the heads, and recreate the entire kitchen scene from Jurassic Park! There’s still a lot of work ahead, but it’s all starting to come together! 🔥🦖 The eyes were painted by Kimberly and, of course, myself, and were 3D sculpted by Maarten van Hoeven. 🦖🎨 The Reptors were made by Double Dome Studios and are made of ABS. Four nozzles. A new machine. A first look at what’s next for FTR.VECTOR. 👀 @creality3d gave me the opportunity to get hands-on with an early K3—and it’s going straight to work on my next custom Ducati build. Perfect for quick prototyping! From unboxing and setup to watching the KliTek™ system automatically switch between four independent nozzles for the first time. Fascinating to see in action 🔥! The first project? An early design prototype of a custom front brake cooling air duct, intended to become part of FTR.VECTOR’s custom front fender. I printed a grey version to check the fit around the front fork and brakes, plus a multicolor version to try out the KliTek system. From CAD to printing to seeing the first physical prototype mounted on the bike. For now, only the brake ducts are designed. This is the first step towards developing the complete fender—and a sneak peek at the direction FTR.VECTOR is taking. Thanks to @CrealityNWE for making this early preview possible! Creality SPARKX i7 3D printer A fast and beginner-friendly FDM printer with up to 500 mm/s print speed and 10,000 mm/s² acceleration. It has a 260 × 260 × 255 mm build volume, 300°C hotend, direct-drive extruder and automatic bed leveling. The CFS Lite adds up to 4-color printing, while CubeMe AI can turn a portrait photo into a printable 3D figurine. 🦖 PEOPLE THINK WE’RE CRAZY… AND THEY MIGHT BE RIGHT! 😂 People are already telling us we’re completely crazy for taking on a project like this. And honestly… they might have a point. 😅 But that’s exactly why we’re doing it! We’re extremely excited to announce our next major project for Heroes Dutch Comic Con this November! 🔥 We’re bringing one of the most iconic moments from Jurassic Park to life — the terrifying kitchen scene where the Velociraptors enter through the kitchen doors. 😱 And this won’t be a miniature or scale model. Everything will be built life-size, 1:1 scale. For this year’s Comic Con, we’ll start with the two life-size Velociraptor heads, recreated at full 1:1 scale and based on the iconic creatures from the original Jurassic Park kitchen scene. These will be the first part of the project to be displayed at the convention in November. But this is only the beginning… For next year’s Comic Con, the plan is to build the entire life-size kitchen scene — including both full-size Velociraptors, the complete kitchen environment and all the details that make this scene so iconic. It will be a massive 1:1 scale diorama and display. A huge amount of work, but we believe the end result will be something truly special. 🦖🍽️🔥 This project is a collaboration between some amazing talents: 👁️ Maarten Verhoeven — designing the eyes in 3D 🦖 Double Dome Studios — creating the life-size Velociraptors 🎨 Diorama Builder / myself — final finishing, painting, coloring, detailing and all the modifications needed to bring these creatures to life. 3d Model from c3d.models.
