Nothing says Fall quite like heirloom mums! C’mon down to @thebaltimorefarmersmarket Sunday from 7-12 where we’ll be showcasing these autumnal beauties in mixed bouquets and bunches. We’ll also have bunches of marigolds, eucalyptus and everybody’s favorite build your own bar. This Sunday and next will be our last market days of the year; hope to catch you all before we get to hibernating 😉🙌🏼

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the opening reception of B:26 — Best of Baltimore 2026! From the incredible artists to the friends, family, and art lovers who came out to show their support, it was a wonderful evening celebrating the creativity and talent within Baltimore’s arts community.

Yesterday, surrounded by the love and support of so many in my village, I accepted the 2026 Baltimore Sun’s 25 Women to Watch recognition. The Center Club was the perfect location for networking, connecting with the other honorees and checking out the incredible array of activations that made this a far from ordinary awards ceremony. (You rock @shawnyfabs ). I’m especially grateful for my girls who showed up (and those who attempted!)
and most of all… my husband!!!!

October has been a meaningful month for us.
For five years, @mri.studios has been more than a physical space. It has been a home for artists, creatives, young people, musicians, poets, filmmakers, entrepreneurs, and community members to gather, create, learn, and grow.
And now, we’re preparing to turn the page.
October will be our last full month in this location.
After dealing with recurring leaks and ongoing building issues, we’ve made the difficult decision to leave this space and begin the search for a new home for MRI Studios. While saying goodbye is never easy, we’re choosing to look ahead with excitement, gratitude, and faith in what comes next.
But we need our community with us in order to transition. We are accepting all donations at the link in our bio.

Sometimes showing up for someone else leads to a beautiful evening.❤️

When Donna asked me to attend The Baltimore Sun’s Women to Watch and accept her award on her behalf, I honestly didn’t feel like going. But we look out for one another 😊and I wanted to show up for her. I’m so glad I did!

The evening brought wonderful conversations and connections, including meeting Dr. Dyann Mack, the first Black woman to serve as superintendent of Harford County Public Schools. She is a jewel! We talked as though we had known each other for years. As a fellow educator, I’m excited to see her vision unfold, and she has my full support.

I also enjoyed connecting with Toni Scott, director of early learning classrooms at Kennedy Krieger, and Robin Murphy, CEO of Create Baltimore. Being surrounded by women doing meaningful work made the night even more special.

Creatives are heroes too. 🎨

Saturday, inside @akioevans home studio, I was reminded that creativity isn’t just about what we make. It’s how we nurture ourselves, process what we’re carrying, and make room for possibility.

And I’ve gotta be honest y’all…

Between navigating personal life and making sense of the world around me, creativity has been one of the ways I stay grounded.

It’s a reminder that even when things feel uncertain, I can still imagine, make and believe in something different and that’s powerful asf 💪🏾💕✨
