Yesterday’s session with the amazing kids of the Peel District School Board was powerful 💭✨

We talked about automatic thoughts—those quick thoughts that pop up without permission—and how they can shape how we feel, move, and show up each day. More importantly, we learned how to pause, challenge, and replace them with thoughts that build confidence, resilience, and self-belief.

Watching these young minds recognize their inner voice and learn tools to take control of it was truly inspiring. When kids learn early that they are not their thoughts—and that they have the power to shift them—it changes everything.

So proud of their honesty, courage, and willingness to grow
The work continues❤️

First Session with Our Grade 4–5 Boys!

Today we kicked off our first session exploring emotions — what they are, how to identify them, and healthy ways to deal with them. 💬 We talked about how it’s okay to feel all emotions — happy, sad, frustrated, or excited — and that understanding what we feel is the first step to self-awareness and confidence.

The boys practiced daily positive affirmations to build strong mindsets and remind themselves of their worth:
💪🏾 I am strong.
💭 I can control how I respond.
🌟 I am kind and capable.

We ended the session with movement, because staying active isn’t just good for the body — it helps the mind too! Movement gives us energy, focus, and a healthy outlet for emotions. ⚡

A huge thank you to Springdale Public School and the Peel District School Board for having us and supporting this important work in helping young boys grow emotionally, mentally, and physically strong! 🙌🏾

I made sense of a bizarre world,
and recorded an album in 2020

“Good Morning Hunter”
released 5 years ago as I type this

one morning, my friend Chala Hunter called me about a screenplay I was writing with filmmaker Bruce McDonald… I picked up the call and said “good morning, Hunter” and right then, I knew immediately what the title of my album was going to be 🤔

it was Bruce that convinced me to remove the comma

Good Morning Hunter… what’s on the menu today?

I had a meeting with Bruce that afternoon at The Walton cafe on College St in Toronto… to work on our screenplay AND to talk about the record I was going make with our mutual friend Todor Kobakov.

good things do take time 🤔 because that screenplay is finally near completion… but more on THAT later

I dedicated the GMH project to John Williams,
who’s health declined during that time… he lived two more years

when he was alive, he’d mutter little sayings like:
“well, I guess we’re all just trying to make it work”

another good line 🤔 I made note of it ✍🏼

Good Morning Hunter lives forever, written & recorded during the “reset”… the bubble era…

distant little bubbles
remnants & fog
still.

Good Morning Hunter took a village;
I love & respect that village greatly…
