Visiting Montreal was stunning! This was my first time in the city, and I truly appreciated all the wonderful experiences, helpful guidance, and memorable moments. Montreal’s charm and vibrant culture made my trip unforgettable! Attending Gradients Academy was such an honor. Surrounding myself with people who shared the same passion, ignited an unbreakable bond. I couldn’t feel more proud of what we accomplished and what’s to come 🥂🇨🇦

been home two days and i’ve done nothing but think about the gift that was getting to spend the last two weeks in montreal, specifically the 10-days i spent at @gradient____ academy.

heading to gradient i had expectations of what the class would be, what i’d learn and what i’d be taking home. i went in knowing i’d learn such top tier precision hair cutting, a system that would make me a better hairdresser and a stronger educator. excited but anxious, guarded but open to knowledge because i was entering a realm of barbers, a space i’ve never experienced, yet have always imagined myself in (like Eve in Barbershop).

those expectations were far from what i received. i was a student yet again, one thing that’s been my saving grace these past couple years, and this time through my first love — hair cutting. those first day of school butterflies, i felt them. immediately met with open arms, it wasn’t just an academy i was at to perfect my craft, it is a space that embodied quality, vision inspiration and love. love for the arts, the industry and the will to inspire and show people that “you were made for this”!

met five other complete strangers before the day began that were there for maybe similar reasons. not knowing that we’d all excitedly choose to have a family dinner after day one of meeting and many more nights exploring montreal together, it was a hard realization on the final day knowing we where all headed back to our own realities. so many belly laughs, helping each other through, sharing major big back energy and creating some of the best memories.
