POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

The expat trying to find her words.
The student trying to pass, and get hired.
The parent who can’t talk to their own kid in Dutch.

Same fight. Different faces.

So I build a bridge.

Language isn’t just a skill.
It’s a story waiting to be told the right way.

At Taal & Verhaal, we teach grammar through story, not fill-in-the-blanks.

Because a story you feel is a rule you remember.

This truly makes me sooo happy. As an expat, as a storyteller and as a teacher. My student learn Dutch through stories. Small two minute read stories. And keeping each story as a part we discuss the rules around it, for them to easily connect. Because not all adults are super interested or super motivated to learn. To help them, stories are the best way. And now hearing them say they can read and understand after two months makes me super happy. Now don’t tell me I didn’t share any social proof. This is for those people who thinks stories cannot teach you.

Nothing should stop you from learning and at Bridge HUB we stand by it. And stories are what shapes the HUB. So this is for you.

I was lucky enough that I didn’t hear it. But I hear from my friends and people around me what they feel. And this a Italy felt real when I attended an event for women, created by women. But somewhere their voices are not heard. I know I cannot amplify voices of everyone. But I really hope The Bridge HUB team can actually make a difference.

Sometimes, the loudest battles happen in complete silence.

I’m still learning.
I’m still creating.
And this time, I’m choosing consistency over perfection.
