HUGE thanks to my clean up krewe and everyone else making this happen!!!

For the past 2 days, my friends and I have been emersed in cleaning up the damage to my home caused by Ida. I wasn't going to wait around for insurance and my landlord to get their shit together so my home could be livable. We removed everything in my kitchen that was growing mold including cabinets and flooring, got the mold controlled on the ceiling, gave all of my dishes a bleach bath, washed, dried and carefully put away in storage bins. Then we tackled the yard to get it safe and clean for the dogs. Next up, the fence!!

I could not have done this without the love and support of everyone who gave their time and money towards these efforts. I still don't know if my house is safe to live in or not. I have the damaged area sectioned and tarped off for now. I bought a air monitoring system and an air purifier. Once I know if the air is clean or not, I will be able to make a better decision on what's best for me and the dogs.
