Some days, it’s hard to even go on with my day while things like this are happening in the world. It’s heavy, it’s exhausting, and it can feel overwhelming. But I was given a platform, and with that comes a responsibility.

Silence and indifference are complicit. Staying quiet doesn’t protect you; it allows injustice to continue. As a Latina, as a woman of color, as someone who builds spaces for other women of color, I refuse to stay silent.

We have to pay attention. We have to educate ourselves. We have to speak up, even when it’s uncomfortable, even when it feels risky. Because the early signs matter. History has shown us this before.

If you scroll past, if you say “I don’t really know,” or “it’s not my problem,” I’m asking you to pause and think. This isn’t just history; it’s happening now, and we can’t afford to look away.
