It started on Cottage Grove. 🎬

In 2023, we made a film with a script, a scene, and a community of people who believed in the story.

That became Cottage Grove Productions.

And we’re still building the same way: by community.

Chicago is in our DNA. Our stories start here, but they’re meant to travel far beyond here.

This is where we came from.

And we’re just getting started.

🎥 Cottage Grove is FREE on Mansa.

Go see where it started.

Proud of this film. Proud of the team. Proud of the story we chose to tell. And to our executive producers, @cristopherbwilliams and @troyopryor for finding enough of themselves within the story to give it its feet to walk. I am so grateful.

Creating access and visibility for underrepresented filmmakers is what we’ve ALWAYS been about! Our lab and our festival foster unique content, valuable relationships, and timeless art. We launched our @kickstarter #XL27 campaign at the historic Obama Presidential Center a few weeks ago, and now it’s crunch time with 7 days left to meet our goal. 🙏🏾

Be apart of history, and back us today. No contribution is too big or too small and EVERY contribution is tax-deductible. Each pledge $50 and above comes with a reward too. 👀 #LINKINBIO to support, learn more, and share with a friend today!
