Our first Cameron Custom spec home continues to make its mark! We’re incredibly honored to receive a Gold Award for Excellence in Architecture from ICONIC LIFE in the Traditional Custom Home 3,500–6,500 SF category. As our first spec home, this project holds a special place in our story. To see it recognized with multiple awards this year is a tremendous honor and a testament to the vision, collaboration and craftsmanship that brought it to life. From its sophisticated architectural details and natural material palette to its seamless connection between indoor and outdoor living, every element was thoughtfully designed to create a home that feels both elevated and inviting. A special thank you to our talented project partners and @iconiclife for this recognition! Builder: @cameroncustomaz Architecture: @aakaii.scottsdale Interior Design: @guidedhomedesign Landscape Design: @creativeenvironments

What a treat it was last night to see so many of the designers in town together at the @iconiclifemag ICONIC Design Awards, celebrating the talent across the Valley. Design is what I built my practice on, so an evening at the Phoenix Art Museum surrounded by the people moving it forward meant a lot to me. I was especially proud to be there for @creativeenvironments. They were the very first Maker of the Valley and seeing their team recognized was the highlight of my night. Design in the Valley is moving fast right now, and I love being close to it. Sarah Scannell, REALTOR® | Compass

Creative Environments didn't stop at pools. They brought resort-level design into production model homes, and it became the local gold standard locally. That same standard shows up in everything they design today, and it's taking them beyond Arizona. Dan is exactly what Makers of the Valley is about. He broke the mold more than once, and Creative Environments still shapes how we live outside in Arizona. Full episode live now on YouTube, link in bio. Before the 2008 crash, Dan Waters made a bet: a new pool division that cost him every major pool builder relationship overnight. It paid off. Then the crash hit anyway, and took the company down to a fraction of its size. He rebuilt it into one of the top luxury outdoor design firms in the country. Watch Part Three, Why Here dropping Sunday, October 4 to find out what happened next. Dan Waters didn’t grow up around landscaping. Kingman didn’t have an industry for it. He started on a model home job site in 1987. By 1993 he’d bought into half the company he worked for, and renamed it Creative Environments. Real growth sometimes means betting everything on a decision that could just as easily backfire. Part Two, The Bet, lands Friday, October 2. Building a custom home isn’t just about the finished product; it’s about bringing hundreds of individual decisions together with intention. From the earliest stages of construction to the final details, each element is considered not only for how it looks, but how it connects to the architecture, the landscape and the way the home will ultimately be lived in. Looking back at the progress and seeing that vision take shape is one of our favorite parts of what we do. Landscape Design: @creativeenvironments . . .
