Just a Girl Having Fun in a World of Words

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Happy Monday! Let’s start the week with a mindset shift inspired by positive psychology:

🖤 Gratitude: Write down 3 things you’re thankful for. Gratitude helps us see the beauty in everyday moments.

💡 Strengths: Reflect on your unique strengths. How can you use them to thrive this week?

🌫️ Connection: Share a kind word or a thoughtful gesture—it spreads positivity and lifts spirits.

This week is yours to create. Let’s fill it with hope, purpose, and peace. 🫶

Often, we are so busy with work and other duties that we forget to check in with our families & friends. Please check in with your loved ones, as we never know what silent suffering one is experiencing.

If you or anyone you know is experiencing anguish related to a breakup, loss, or unprocessed distressing events, please reach out to a licensed professional in your state for support.

If in a crisis, call 911 for immediate attention or dial 988 to be connected to the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. The 988 lifeline provides 24/7, free and confidential support for people in distress, prevention and crisis’ resources for you or your loved ones.

Happy Tuesday friends.
❤️📖❤️
This is the second colour-way I’ve been looking at via the @canva colour wheel for a possible new book cover for BROKEN PIECES OF TOMORROW. This shows a couple of the red-based colour-ways but there’s a couple more which I will post over the course of the week.
❤️📖❤️
So, I have a few book-cover questions for you...

What colour do you associate with books about family/love/romance?

Do you have a favourite book cover?

Do you have a favourite book cover colour?

What colour was the cover of the last book you read and which genre was it?
❤️📖❤️
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback.

#bookrecommendation #bookreview ... "On average in America you move 11 or 12 times" ...... I won this audiobook as a giveaway the author provided. Unfortunately it's taken me two years to get to this one, due to blowing off some dust bunnies in the shed and cranking up the old faithful CD machine.
.
Although this is an audiobook, Ali does talk about diagrams and such like that you can physically do in the paperback version.
.
On average in America you move 11 or 12 times ... that's quite a number of times. Ali suggests and gives her expertise help on something that you would think is easy, but isn't, the CD was loaded with common sense observations that we tend to over look when buying a house.

There were 4 disks in the CD case, (with mine an additional bonus of the PDF) Ali mentions decluttering before moving, and even you aren't moving this was so facinating to listen to and some very useful hints that I will be putting into practice. There was quite alot on pets and travel and how to plan shifting with them. How to set up rooms, once you have arrived. How to greet people in a new town and carry on with a conversation when you are making new friends. Alot of thought has been put into this CD.
