Really fired up to share this news! Couldn’t imagine a better crew of people to make this all happen with.

From @musicrowmagazine:
Brent Rupard has signed with Creative Nation, in partnership with EMPIRE.
Raised in Shepherdsville, Kentucky and later cutting his teeth in the bars of Bowling Green while attending Western Kentucky University, Rupard moved to Nashville in 2011 to pursue music full time. That same year, he signed a publishing deal with Sea Gayle Music and earned the ASCAP Leon Brettler Award.
Rupard later became one half of the duo Everette, signing with Broken Bow Records. The duo toured with acts including Brothers Osborne, Larry Fleet and The Cadillac Three, and played the Grand Ole Opry over a dozen times. As a songwriter, Rupard has earned cuts with artists including Josh Turner, Larry Fleet, Lee Brice, Tracy Lawrence, Thompson Square, Randy Rogers Band and more.
“This signing is a dream come true for me,” Rupard says. “From the way it all organically came together, to how quickly I felt at home with both teams, I knew this was going to be an amazing ride. Luke and Beth Laird have built something truly special at Creative Nation, with its own fingerprint on the Nashville community. I’ve always hoped I’d land here someday, and I’m incredibly grateful to join such a talented lineup and experience that creative culture firsthand. I was also immediately impressed by Eric Hurt’s genuine care for songwriters and artists — he is a rockstar and we connected so quickly. I’m incredibly excited for the journey we’re all about to go on together.”

“Gotta Know About That” - That’s my Grandma right there in her Mary Kay Caddy. She’s how this song came to be. The day that @jonhutch @stevemoakler and I wrote this song… it was my first session back in Nashville after she’d passed. We shared so many stories about life, family, etc. and I mentioned how my grandmother was the first woman in upstate NY to ever win the Mary Kay Cadillac. The fellas let me spill about my childhood and this song was the product. So Jonathan, Steve, and @creativenationmusic THANK YOU a million times over. And to @theoffroadrecords THANK YOU a million times over for helping me give this song life and putting your hard and extremely dedicated work into getting this thing out there. I love you guys. This is just the beginning! 🫡

To whoever listens to this, loves it, shares it… THANK YOU. I hope you see a little bit of you somewhere in this song and when you do…. Know that my Grandma is rockin right along-side you in that Cadillac.

Creative Nation turned 15 this year. To celebrate, Beth and I wanted to do something fun, so we took our crew to Universal Epic Universe. So much fun! Tonight I’ve just been reflecting on my time in the music business. I’ve written thousands of songs. Lots of bad ones, a few decent ones. I just love creating so much. But as great as writing songs is, it’s the relationships I’ve made that have made the biggest impact on me. …the people…Beth and I have been so blessed by our people at Creative Nation…past, present, and future. Having been in this business for over 20 years, I am so encouraged and inspired by the new generation of songwriters and the business people keeping us songwriters in line. I am so grateful for our team! I remember when we started Creative Nation, someone asked me “Where do you see Creative Nation in 10 years?” I said, “Honestly, if I get to wake up and to do what I’m doing now…write another song, I’ll be happy.” It’s even better though now…and not because of the songs, but because of the people.
