During casting and while screening WIP cuts of #OOTGShortFilm a few people asked if it was autobiographical and it’s not but here is some personal and fictional inspo I pulled from.

1. The film ‘Juice’
2. Being the only girl in a group of guy friends
3. That one time Dorian told me that if he liked girls, he would date me
4. Being a singer-songwriter and primarily working with male artists, producers and engineers. S/o to @mixedbyDC I miss our sessions 😩
5. Women-led / predominately male hip hop groups
6. This song I freestyled with @keithdamaestro in 2015 in my studio apartment in Hyde Park, Chicago
7. That time Anicia told me she was wing woman to her friend at a home studio session with [redacted] who made smoothies and did coke all night
8. The opening scene of ‘Belly’ and Hype Williams’ in general
9. The house parties (and bon fires) I used to throw when I lived in Brooklyn
10. Creative women who effortlessly tow the line between masculine and feminine
