Six days and six hours left in my term as the 22nd President of the Howard University Alumni Association, I find myself reflecting on one of the greatest privileges of this journey; serving alongside and supporting Howard University's student leaders.

Over the past four years, I have witnessed firsthand the brilliance, passion, resilience, and commitment that define our students. Whether advocating for their peers, leading campus organizations, serving their communities, participating in athletics, or the pure desire of representing Howard with excellence, they have continually inspired me and reaffirmed that the future of our beloved institution is in capable hands.

Thank you for allowing me to learn from you, celebrate your achievements, and support your leadership journeys. Your voices, ideas, and dedication have strengthened Howard University and challenged all of us to think bigger and lead better.

As I transition from this role, I do so with immense pride and confidence in the next generation of Bison student leaders who eventually become alumni leaders. Continue to lead with courage, purpose, and integrity. Howard needs you, our alumni need you, and the world needs what you as Bison can offer.

It has been an honor to serve in Truth and Service.

Throwback to earlier this week when I had the opportunity to collaborate and showcase student artists on the yard!

I am so grateful for the opportunity to even go to an HBCU, where I am able to rub shoulders with people who will go on to do incredible things as creatives!

This isn’t just a campaign, it’s a mission.

From the vault of student leadership to the front lines of campus impact, Tyler Horton has already been doing the work: organizing, advocating, and building where it counts. No shortcuts. Just results.

Objective: Redefine what Mr. COAS looks like.
Status: Already in Motion.

Some wait to be chosen.
Others prove they already are.

Connection doesn’t happen by accident.
It’s intentional. It’s consistent. It’s necessary.

This team ensures Bison voices are heard 🗣️, concerns are addressed 📝, and relationships across campus remain strong 🤝🏾. From students to organizations to administration, they make sure communication turns into action, not just conversation.

For four years, NewToTheMecca has centered real access and real support and the Liaison Department carries that mission forward 🖤. Their work helps shape an experience where Bison feel seen 👀, valued ✨, and advocated for without bias.

👏🏾 Clap it up for the ones building trust, holding space, and doing the work that keeps us connected because without them, the vision doesn’t move forward.
