Are you staying true to yourself or to other people’s expectations of you?

Lately I think that’s been the real question behind everything.

I got so used to constantly sharing my life that, without even realizing it, I slowly started experiencing it through the eyes of other people instead of my own. Not asking myself what felt good, what felt meaningful, what felt real… but what looked good, what performed well, what could be turned into something consumable.

And I think that’s the dangerous part about constantly being perceived. You slowly drift away from yourself in ways that feel almost invisible at first…

Taking a step back reminded me that your relationship with yourself should always matter more than your relationship with an audience.

Not every beautiful moment needs to be shared.
Not every season of your life needs to be explained.
And not every version of you is meant to exist for public consumption.

Some parts of life only make sense when they are lived quietly. Thank you for the constant support. I appreciate you ❤️

now my friend group looks like a tax evasion scheme, a yoga retreat, and a fever dream all in one.

we’ve got a lawyer who microdoses, a DJ who sells insurance, and a guy named Sven who hasn’t owned shoes since 2018.

none of us know what day it is but somehow we all ended up in the same hostel kitchen making pancakes at 3 AM.

My whole trip costs as much as one night out.
And honestly that’s the wildest plot twist of adulthood.

A 22 euro flight,
80 to 100 total for transport,
hostels for 10 to 20 a night,
full meals for the price of a coffee back home.
And suddenly the world feels… possible.

The truth is
travel didn’t magically become affordable
I just stopped funding a lifestyle that wasn’t feeding me.

One night out can disappear in drinks and noise
and leave you hungover, anxious, and 200 down
but the same money can give you memories, clarity, perspective
a version of you that only comes alive when you’re far from home.

There’s no judgment
no right or wrong
but there is a choice.
And when I realized my budget wasn’t the problem
my priorities were
everything opened up.

I didn’t start traveling full time because I was unhappy or running away from anything. My life in Amsterdam was genuinely beautiful.

I had my routines, my friends, my degree, my relationship, the cafés I loved, the music I played, the feeling of belonging to a city that somehow felt like home even if I wasn’t born there.

But beneath all that comfort there was always a quiet voice reminding me that time moves fast, that stability can turn into a cage, and that maybe the life I was meant to live was bigger than the one I had already built.

I started to realise that nothing I chose had to be permanent. I could leave without losing everything. I could explore and still come back. I could change my life without destroying it.

The moment that truth clicked, something shifted. The fear dissolved. Curiosity took over. And suddenly the world felt too big to ignore.

So I left. Not to escape my life, but because I finally understood I was allowed to expand it. And the rest is history 🩵🌏✨

free stays ARE an option 🌏✈️👇

the best and most surprising part is that you don’t need a following, or experience.

many associate “free stay” to being an established influencer or travel creator

👀 in reality, all you need is a portfolio that showcases your work.

most of the time, the structures will use the content you create on their own socials 📲

so your collaboration with them will be the equivalent of a travel UGC collaboration. some other stays will ask you to post it on your page as well as a “collaborative post”, but in my experience this happened the minority of times - and only because at the time my following was growing already 💭

so definitely don’t be scared to send that email 👀🤭

because you’ll never know where you can end up, and for… FREE💸✨

ps. this is a numbers game - so, sending 5 emails and calling it a day will not work. it might. but it also might now. take that into account 🌱
